Haere Ra Ehoa... Haere Ra...

im in shock.... definitely my favourite comments man in rugby.

i read his herald column every week and pretty much held him up as the authority on all things scrummaging.

he won the RWC in 1987.... retired at his best at 29...

my condolences to his whanau...

Sad news. A very good prop but I must admit I was really enjoying his commentary. He brought some real old fashioned forward forward play knowledge to the commentary box.

they just had a bit of a eulogy on the cricket (NZ vs WI). I knew virtually nothing about his playing career but enjoyed his commentary. Far too young.

I see his daughter was presented with his cap at the funeral service yesterday. They said on sky news they have only just reintroduced this tradition are an extended hiatus which was nice.
