To be honest the second best winger in the club made his comeback tonight and scored after 44 seconds and ended up with 3 tries and a great defensive effort.
His great attribute is that he finishes and is not heart attack material in defence.
It has been said before , but it would be a much stronger side with JW on the right wing, we would have 2 quick strong wingers , and I hope the brains trust have good look at him. I would start him nest week, he appears to be that good.

Any thoughts.

By the way, the Gold Coast coaching staff were sitting in a box at the game, with Wayne Beavis alongside them. Hope that dont plunder too many of our P/L side, although I think it is the last time for a while we will se a side like our P/L side kept together.

Bit hard to drop Peto after tonight - had a good game, not great but better than last week.

Are you serious? He was disgraceful again. Missed tackles and dropped passes everywhere, not to mention all his sideways running. Hopefully the Gold Coast staff take him on the plane with him when they leave.

I said he was good not great. On the sideways running I found it very interesting that the call came quite a few times for him to run it into the middle of the field from both the bench and a few of the players on the field.

Colonel, sorry to disagree but I didn't see Peto have a good game tonight. Was ineffective in defence, and ran the ball across field when we we were looking to spread it. Better than Burt, who doesnt look any better in reggies, but only marginally so.

I would Put John Williams straight in........Peterson will not be with us next year and John Williams can kick Goals. I believe that John Williams is as fast if not faster than that Mcdonalds cheeseburger lad from the Tigers.

sorry Big C but not with you on this one. Yes he was not as bad as last week but to be honest he wasn't much better either. Tried his best but was shaky in defence and continued to give me heart pulpatations (?). Know little of the PL team but it might be time to bite the bullet and promote one of them considering Peto after all is off to the coast next year.

Missed the early part of his game so I can only comment on what I saw. Didn't think he did as bad as last week when he was very ordinary. As I said there were some calls from both the bench and on field to run infield a few times. He even managed to run straight a few times which is normally quite rare.

yeah put John in.....or Hayne...or even Burt....

Petersen tries hard but just doesnt have enough in my opinion.

I'd give him at least 1 more week in PL... having a great game against the worst team in PL doesn't mean that he'll transfer that form to first grade.

I thought Peto was better tonight but i was very disappointed when they announced the team with him still there. I'd rather see one of the young fellas get a crack!

He did alright in the second half, but those silly errors have crept back into his game. I'd play Williams

Petersen improved in leaps and bounds...But I still would rather Burt or Williams in his position...

I mean he was OK, but he's just not a 'finisher' anymore, you know?

I think the Gold Coast officials were there trying to get out of their contract with Peterson.

Fitzy should have put in a bid to play our premier league side as the 16th team under the Gold Coast name.

What makes you say this?

I'd hope the Coast aren't going to be paying much (Peto)... Can't believe Smithy persists with him.

Yeah I'm not judging him on this week...I'm judging him on 3-4 seasons of Premier league and a couple of first grade games where I thought he showed a lot more promise than one M.Petersen.

I've never cringed at my own player so much than what I did tonight with Peterson, he is a liability in that team and shouldn't be there, Willams and Burt are better wingers, especially Williams.
