And Johns cant and never will make it in Union. Its not as simple as a Union Player switching to League - which is very simple, Union you have to learn about Ruck and mauls and the Offside rules are different. Theres also an Extra 2 Players on the pitch and theres no 10 m rule to keep you safe.

I'm the first to say that they are very very different games, and 99% of players can't make a highly succesful switch from one to the other, but, I think Johns could be a succesful Union fly-half if he put the time in.

Johns puts on some huge hits on big forwards not just backs and makes around 20-35 takels a game.
If spencer made 1 1 on 1 tackle it would be a fluk also he would be lucky if he makes 5 tackles a game. Name one big hit that spencer has done on a back and a forward.

Rugby is a lot easyer to play then league you dont get hit as hard and the game is no where near as quick. Its not that hard to learn the rules of rugby. so what if theres 10 m rule johns runs right up to the defence bfore he makes his kicks anyway and in rugby the defences is not charging at you. In rugby you have more time to kick the ball and are under less presure.

You are comparing bananas with apples KKF, object for league is to run over the smaller man so he is forced to make more tackles and wear the guy out so he is less effective at making his runs. Union the object is to spread it wide and look for gaps or run it up the middle in which cases the 1st 5 is usualy skipped.

Also one of spencers strengths has been his tackling 1 on 1. I dont know where people have been getting this image that spencer cant tackle. Merhtens has always been noted for not being be able to tackle maybe you guys are getting him mixed up with him ?

Im not sure I understand that statement, as you are a "canes supporter putting Spencer down. ? or are you saying the opposite now ?

As for me im actually a "canes supporter and im not a huge supporter of Spencer but I do think he is under rated by a few here.

Luke Baily, Glen Morrison Both big men both make 35+ tackles a game. Luke baily a prop has made over 50 takles in a game.
As for rugby sreding it wide that happens once every 4 or 5 tackles most of the time its a one out pass to a forward
