Once and for all.
Jen is a great friend of mine.
We banter often on FB about the constant #sacktheboard shit that she peddles with no solution. She didn't know until 2 weeks ago that Roy was involved and yet she spent weeks trying to drum up support for the motions.
#f**kenidiot
Jen is an Admin of a FB group that has one focus - to be nice and lovey dovey to the coach, his staff and the players and to no one else in the club. Unfortunately their attitude seems to be that players and coach can do no wrong and everyone and anyone else is to blame when we lose a game.Reading some people's comments just shows how ignorant they are..
You see comments now saying the Eels will suck that there has been no change....
Like we have a new coach and staff plus a bunch of new and young players firstly and second changing the leagues club board last night would not have made anymore changes .
But will the merkins learn from this and just make sure there's 100 next time? They have no shame, so what's stopping them just trying again? It’s laughable that people who though they could control a multi-million dollar leagues club didn’t have the professionalism and common sense to understand the EGM attendance requirements and are claiming they were not told they needed 100. Amateur hour. Good riddance.
That's what emojis are for ffs. So we don't need to scroll through pages of merkins saying "I agree!"Pou basically agrees with everything that has been said in this thread why do you think he has barely posted in here.
Way to prove how unsuitable you are from having anything to do with the club, but Pou is right we need some safeguards from these idiots having another crack. The theme from that facebook group now is that the club “withheld” that the + voters needed to attend the meeting. Oh dear.
Yep there has to be something in place so the same deadshit people can't keep coming back and forcing EGMs.Way to prove how unsuitable you are from having anything to do with the club, but Pou is right we need some safeguards from these idiots having another crack.
It requires a constitutional change to stop this recurring but watch this space...Yep there has to be something in place so the same deadshit people can't keep coming back and forcing EGMs.
Like i said Spags used some pizza shop dipshit this time as a pawn. He won't get another chance.
But spags might find some dipshit car salesman next time to do his bidding.
For a bloke that claims he loves the club he has done everything to destroy it.
I have no issue with anyone included in an initial petition to call an EGM (the 200 or so required members) having to wait at least three (preferably 5) years before being able to call another.I disagree with stopping them from being able to force an EGM. Just because you disagree with their proposal, doesn’t mean you’ll always agree with the current setup.

Not really in touch with reality.
She does that when she loses an argument and doesn't want to look silly.Seems Jen has deleted her posts.
THIS SPACE:
Ok, so the current constitution says to call an EGM, the lesser of 200 signatures or 5% of eligible members are required.
I believe the plan is to remove the 200 signatures component and leave in the 5% which is a requirement of the Corporations Act.
5% of the current eligible members is approx. 2,700 signatures to force an EGM.
Are you saying that all we had to do was get 200 signatures to potentially get rid of BA earlier?I have no issue with anyone included in an initial petition to call an EGM (the 200 or so required members) having to wait at least three (preferably 5) years before being able to call another.
This should go some way to ensuring that there’s merit in the motion and doesn’t restrict any of the other thousands of members from calling an EGM.
Funnily enough that is what a very senior person at the PLC said when he advised me of the proposed change. He basically said, if there is a truly valid reason for an EGM such as removing a Board Member for the right reasons, there won't be any problem getting the votes needed. That's better if the club is doing an absolutely rubbish job you would assume there would be 5% at least that want them removed..
