We banter often on FB about the constant #sacktheboard shit that she peddles with no solution. She didn't know until 2 weeks ago that Roy was involved and yet she spent weeks trying to drum up support for the motions.

You see comments now saying the Eels will suck that there has been no change....

Like we have a new coach and staff plus a bunch of new and young players firstly and second changing the leagues club board last night would not have made anymore changes .

Jen is an Admin of a FB group that has one focus - to be nice and lovey dovey to the coach, his staff and the players and to no one else in the club. Unfortunately their attitude seems to be that players and coach can do no wrong and everyone and anyone else is to blame when we lose a game.

Not really in touch with reality.

It’s laughable that people who though they could control a multi-million dollar leagues club didn’t have the professionalism and common sense to understand the EGM attendance requirements and are claiming they were not told they needed 100. Amateur hour. Good riddance.

I disagree with stopping them from being able to force an EGM. Just because you disagree with their proposal, doesn’t mean you’ll always agree with the current setup.

I have no issue with anyone included in an initial petition to call an EGM (the 200 or so required members) having to wait at least three (preferably 5) years before being able to call another.

This should go some way to ensuring that there’s merit in the motion and doesn’t restrict any of the other thousands of members from calling an EGM.

I agree. There needs to be systems in place to hold the board to account by the members. Can't make it impossible for something like this to happen. Problem is when you have idiots who don't know what they're doing leading the charge. Making it harder for it to happen (like requiring more than 400 signatures maybe) might just be the way to go.

That's better if the club is doing an absolutely rubbish job you would assume there would be 5% at least that want them removed..

Are you saying that all we had to do was get 200 signatures to potentially get rid of BA earlier?

Funnily enough that is what a very senior person at the PLC said when he advised me of the proposed change. He basically said, if there is a truly valid reason for an EGM such as removing a Board Member for the right reasons, there won't be any problem getting the votes needed.
