I'd actually been re-watching some old Jordan games I have on DVD over the last few days ('92, '93 & '97 Finals) and I had forgotten just how incredible he was. Well that's not right, it's hard to explain, I mean you remember his greatness but you just forget all the things he did on the court. Suppose it's one of those fading memory type things but I still haven't seen anybody that completely captures the grace and skill that he had in his prime.
Also, there's been a fair bit said over the last 18-24 months that Kobe is a better "shot-creater" than Jordan was.....what a load of garbage. You can pick any (and I do mean any) game of Jordan's from 86 though 93 and there would be at least one example of a shot that nobody else I've seen who would have the requisite physical attributes or skill-level to create. His first step, hang-time, length, hands, vision & touch were all remarkable and, as far as I'm concerned, unparalleled.
And watching him do all he did whilst they still allowed hand-checking just further reinforces it.
