Great prospect. But it takes time, for the both of them. Marcus has had a bad run with fitness and injuries. He's got a lot of skills, goal kicking, can defend quite well, a decent passing game, and a long kicking game.
Davis is a star out of the Junior Kiwis.
But just remember, if all stars of junior representative footy continued on their merry way, the Warriors would be premiers each and every year. It doesn't necessarily happen. There were mighty wraps on Thomas Leuluai, it turned to custard didn't it? Same with a lot of other junior players going around, looking at the Warriors for instance Vince Mellars had enormous wraps, and he never took advantage of it apart from one game. Evarn Tuimavave is still trying to get up to NRL match fitness. Then again, you might just uncover the most precocious talents in the game - like the Warriors did with Ali Lauitiiti etc.
For all that, I hope it does for the both of them because the Kiwis need a good five eighth (Marcus Perenara was in the halves at Marist Richmond with the man who certainly has the upper hand on that guersney at the moment - Jerome Ropati) and a good centre.
The centre from the Roosters was one the Warriors belatedly made an approach on, too little, too late, but he has extreme ability and leadership attributes. Davis though smoked him as far as wraps out of the recent Junior Kiwis success (which has been pretty good of late). Perenara had huge wraps on him from Daniel Anderson, and would have a sharp footy brain coming from a highly thought of rugby league family in New Zealand.
C'mon Josh! C'mon Marcus! Make your names and claims to the honour of the Kiwis outta good old Parramatta.
