I'm all for thanking and respecting josh for what he's done for us. But plenty of our players put in, even when their form was down and team was rubbish. JDB, Ah Mau, thommo, nighty, Widdop, Frizz, and airmen never phoned it in. Might have had shit games but not lacking effort.

Dufty has issues with his defence, which has been evident even in the last four weeks. This will only be highlighted more in First Grade. Mann is only marginally older than Dufty and has good defence and significant first grade experience. Dufty was not always a fullback and Mann has shown he can play centre, wing, 5/8 and looks like a fullback when he plays.

Agree that Mann is better in defence and has more experience . But how can he get experience if he isn't given a go ? . The kid may have played a bit of 5/8 when he was 15 or 16 but he is a specialist fullback . I agree with Gus Gould that Mann looks like a natural 5/8 but haven't seen anything that suggests he is a fullback as he hasn't played there . I am not saying Dufty will be the long term answer but in my opinion he deserves a chance .
The times I have watched him play he is one of those players that brings the crowd to there feet when he gets the ball because he is capable of burning anybody at anytime . I really hope he gets the chance at our club as Mary said he would at the start of the season .

Agree I would like to see Mann left there . He is a far better all round player Than McCrone . But it wont happen .

This is exactly what I am getting. We have fans blaming Dugan for the delays and dragging it out but I feel it was a game being played by Millward to get him to leave of his own volition. Prior to the drawn out negotiations most fans would have hung Millward if he said I don't want Dugan and I'm going to let him go. By pretending to negotiate without any real intention to secure Dugan's signature he has shifted the focus onto the player.

Wow what a plan. Actually tabling an offer and not withdrawing it for six months. Clearly a way to get him to leave. Foolproof. Unless Dugan had agreed of course.
