Not sure what a rugby league player would be on moving over but top players earn a lot.

100% agree - Widdop is average at absolute best.
Widdop is one of those Bellamy specials - looks great in that team, but in reality has been given strict instructions to follow and a real basic job role (run that line, pass to that bloke) and can't do much else - hence why Widdop creates nothing now - he's not got a playmakers brain, he's a typical 'pass it out the back sweep play' every time, manufactured half.
