Media outlets are reporting NSW Police contacted Reynolds at 11.30am on Wednesday to inform him the charge has been thrown out, and his April 29 court date is cancelled.

Josh Reynolds: Police drop domestic violence charges against NRL star
Danielle Gusmaroli and David Riccio, The Daily Telegraph
February 26, 2020 11:50am

Domestic violence charges against NRL star Josh Reynolds have been sensationally dropped by NSW police today.

The West Tigers hooker is said to have told friends justice has prevailed after police decided they would not pursue allegations he had assaulted his ex-partner, Arabella Del Busso, 30, at his Caringbah South home in September.

He was accused of leaving bruising on her right arm and left leg during the incident.

This morning NSW Police informed his lawyer Daniel McGirr the charge of assault occasioning bodily harm had been dropped.

Mr Reynolds was accused of assaulting Ms Del Busso in Caringbah South, the suburb in which Reynolds currently resides, between 7pm and 11pm on September 12, but always maintained he was innocent of the charge.

The pair were in a long-term relationship but are no longer together.

Mr Reynolds was arrested and charged after Ms Del Busso, real name Donna Preuska, presented to St George Police Station.

The case was due to return to Sutherland Local Court on July 23.

There’s allegations she has conned several men before Reynolds, and lied about her mother dying.

Channel 9 reports NSW Police have now opened an investigation into del Busso and will interview Reynolds among several men.

Reynolds was cleared by the NRL under their no-fault stand-down policy and is available to play Round 1 .

Must be a massive weight off his shoulders. I hope that this translate somehow miraculously into improved on field form.

Significantly, this will open up his options offshore.

Wests Tigers statement: Josh Reynolds
Wests Tigers | February 26 2020 1:01PM

Wests Tigers have today been advised by Josh Reynolds' legal representatives and New South Wales Police that all domestic violence charges against him have been dropped.

Josh is relieved that this matter is now behind him and is fully focused on preparing for his side's trial match this weekend against the New Zealand Warriors.

Wests Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe said the news was a great outcome for Reynolds.

"This news comes as a great relief to Josh as well as our club," said Pascoe.

"Josh has carried himself extremely well throughout what has no doubt been a very stressful time for him and his family, and we look forward to him continuing to play a key role for this club on and off the field in the years to come."

No shit sandwich here.

I note you didn't tag @Bazal or @nick87 or @adamkungl, all of whom, like me, identified that the behaviour he exhibited in the video wasn't and shouldn't be considered normal.

Unless you have some misguided notion that I was assuming he was guilty of DV charges which quite plainly is false lol

any couple in the world and especially ones where one of them lied about pregnancy’s would have arguments similar to that. She only released the part where he reacted to whatever she had done on that night.

you are wrong Timmy. Any self respecting partner would react to the shit this woman did to them.

I feel sorry for him it got this far and glad the truth prevailed
