The football season is how long? March to October? And they only play one game a week.

I'm not one for silly internet acronyms but NFI springs to mind here. Pre-season training from late Nov/early Dec onwards....pre-season games in Feb, week-in/week-out matches in one of the most cruelling sporting competitions in the world plus Test matches, add in mid-week trainings etc..

So um, yep.

Yeah, it's a big load for Rep footballers, especially when you consider we played a world cup last year as well.
