Goodes was more effective with less possession than Judd in last year's GF and while Judd was steadier across the whole game yesterday, again he had little genuine impact on the match. I thought he was better than in last year's GF, but again this was only because he was getting a good amount of the ball, and not because he was doing anything expressly special with it.
Goodes was ordinary early, along with many of his teammates, but he seriously came to life after the break and was central in dragging the Swans back into the game.
When he is on, he gives you a lot more to worry about than Judd does.
