Reimis Smith escapes two-match ban
Reimis Smith has escaped a two-match ban for a high tackle on Titans prop Jaimin Jolliffe.
Smith was slapped with a grade two careless high tackle charge, and has loading from two prior incidents.
The Storm centre was sin-binned after making contact with Jolliffe's head in a 67th minute tackle.
Jolliffe was running the ball back from a goal-line dropout and first made contact with Trent Loiero. Jolliffe ricocheted out of the initial hit and was caught on the back of the head by Smith.
The 23-year-old successfully earned a downgrade at the judiciary on Tuesday night, and will be free to face the Warriors in round 14.
Nelson Asofa-Solomona facing a week on the sidelines
Storm prop Nelson Asofa-Solomona will be rubbed out for a week after being hit with a grade one contrary conduct charge.
Asofa-Solomona escaped any onfield punishment, but was placed on report after intervention from the bunker.
The Melbourne big man was taken down in a tackle by Joseph Vuna, and planted a knee on the Titans replacement's face when he got up to play the ball.
Asofa-Solomona has two prior offences and will be missing for one week after an unsuccessful challenge at the judiciary.
The 25-year-old was also fined for a fifth minute high shot on debutant Jayden Campbell.
Asofa-Solomona was cited with a grade one careless high tackle and will be fined either $1900 or $2250.
Titans centre Patrick Herbert will also be fined for a grade one dangerous contact charge.
Herbert will be out of pocket either $1150 or $1500 after the first half incident with Kenny Bromwich.
TC Robati escapes with a fine
In just his second appearance in first-grade, Broncos backrower TC Robati was in everything during Thursday night's loss to St George Illawarra.
Robati crossed for his first career try in the 26th minute and made it a double just a few minutes later.
With the Broncos on level terms shortly before half-time, a Jamayne Isaako brain-fade allowed Matt Dufty to score and give the home side the lead.
It was pretty much all down hill from there and Robati's sin-bin shortly after the break didn't help matters.
Dragons forward Poasa Faamausili was unable to continue, failing his HIA, after Robati collected him high in a tackle.
The match review committee has charged Robati with a grade-one careless high tackle, meaning he can escape with a $1,350 fine if he takes an early guilty plea.
Knights Lachlan Fitzgibbon, Sauaso Sue fined
Newcastle forwards Lachlan Fitzgibbon and Sauaso Sue have both been handed fines for separate incidents in the loss to Parramatta.
Fitzgibbon can accept a $1150 fine with an early guilty plea for his grade one careless high tackle charge for a hit on Waqa Blake.
Sue can will cop the same punishment if he takes the early guilty plea for a dangerous shot on Reed Mahoney that saw the Knights forward sin-binned.
James Roberts, Dylan Edwards fined for role in Leichhardt melee
Both James Roberts and Dylan Edwards have been handed fines after their part in a ferocious push and shove in the second half of the Tigers win over the Panthers.
The melee was sparked when Viliame Kikau took out Daine Laurie contesting a high ball, with Roberts running in and shoving Kikau before the all-in erupted.
Neither player was sent from the field for the incident, but have been issued punishments to the back pocket.
With similar past offences, Edwards has copped the heavier punishment, with the Panthers fullback facing a $1700 fine with an early guilty plea.
Roberts meanwhile faces a $1350 fine with an early guilty plea.
Robert Jennings, Moses Mbye escape with fines
Robert Jennings has been handed a grade one high contact charge that carries a maximum $1800 fine for his hit on Luciano Leilua.
Jennings collected Leilua high trying to stop a second-half try, with the contact knocking the ball from the Tigers backrower's grasp. After review the Tigers were awarded a penalty try for the high shot.
Jennings can escape with a $1350 fine with an early guilty plea, or risks a $1800 fine if he unsuccessfully challenges the charge.
Meanwhile, Mbye faces an $1150 fine for contrary conduct on Stephen Crichton, or risks a $1500 fine if unsuccessful at the judiciary.
