Wallabies and Brumbies utility Julian Huxley has a brain tumour, Brumbies chief executive officer Andrew Fagan says.
Huxley issued a brief statement after telling his teammates this morning.
"It was a huge shock when the doctor told me I had a tumour," the 28-year-old said.
"It's obviously been with me for some time and I've never felt any sort of illness."
It is believed that Huxley has had the tumour for several years and it is benign, Fagan said.
The tumour was discovered during medical scans Huxley underwent after being taken from the field after going down in the second minute of the Brumbies' win over the Queensland at Canberra Stadium on Saturday.
Huxley was convulsing on the field before being taken off on a medicab.
