how long is he contracted with us for?
extend it by 10 years lol.
hes playing great solid in defence and great in attack. so strong.
lol sau, kidley and mcmanus are the first picked in our backline. :D
lol nah great game from the whole backline really, mcmanus made me eat my own words lol
for the first time in ages we have solid attacking options on both edges of the field.
as for vuna what does everyone here think of developing him into a frank pritchard type of player?
vuna, sau and aku could make an awesome combo.

Sau is a powerhouse in attack but still needs abit of work in D, he also needs to learn to use his winger more, especially whjen he's got someone like Aku outside him. I was laughing when lowrie tried to make a tackle on him last night and he got sat on his arse

I think people are overating his game a bit so far.

Last night he left Uate stranded a bit in defense, especially for Parra's first try.

Also bombed a couple of tries.

He has a good base to work from, good strength, good speed and knows how to beat his man. If he can strengthen his defencive reads and learn how and when to set up his winger he will be a great FG centre for us.

oh yes, i forgot you're of the opinion that once a player hits first grade, they have reached their utmost potential.

your bait tastes like sh*t.

No Perverse, I don't believe players hit first grade and reach their utmost potential.

However, I'm also not delusional enough to compare their potential to an all time great.

In case you might have missed it, I was taking the p*ss based on a comment made in the KOTW voting where someone said Taufua has " Ben Kennedy like potential ".

Just having some fun P.

No dramas P.

Sau is going great guns. He is a massive stocky tank for real though hey.

He would just about have the biggest legs, ass and hips in the entire NRL.

Definitely takes some stopping.

I couldn't be too critical of him not using Uate on some occasions, because I thought on the times he did run and ignored Uate, the defence had Uate covered pretty well. He can probably develop more of a passing game and use Uate a bit more, but it was only a bit of bad luck when Sau dropped the ball over the line, that stopped him from scoring one of the better individual tries of 2008.

He didnt leave Aku stranded.

Our numbers were wrong. A great centre/winger combo may have shut it down, but 9/10 times its a try.

Yeah Sau was good.

I know Aku signed for next season just a few weeks ago but I think we need to give him a four year extension.

Vuna is a very young guy who is getting bigger and slower by the minute.
He is in the same position as Daniel Abraham was at 21 - he has to find a new role because he isn't cutting it anymore.
I can see him easily bulking up to 110kg and being a powerful running forward and impact player.
I can't see him slimming down and getting his speed back.

agreed.
he could definatelt be a great impact forward. he constantly breaks tackles and has shown he has quite a nice offload on him. i think he could be great. an awesome wide running second rower. not unlike frank pritchard or $BW.
