Junior Sharks in Finals

We can only off so many a start. We obviously already have a squad.

True Cardy.

The main issue here is homesickness from what I'm hearing. They don't see any point in hanging around here to play A grade when they can go back home and do the same thing.

The trick for the club is to pick the right ones to promote. Some will look a million bucks in Ball and not progress. Others might not show that much in juniors and really kick on. It is a tough one to get right.

There does look to be some good talent in both sides. The odds are that only a few will ever make the NRL but if we can get a good core group it can really set the club up for the future.

Magoulias and Curtis Scott look like real footballers. Both have strong instincts and want to make the big plays. Flanagan showed good game management but 20's might be too soon for him. Kennedy has potential but will need to be stronger to step up.

Salmon in the Matt's owned that game. Great athleticism and power with neat skills. Definitely a keeper. The prop Kula looks good but it can be hard to assess Islander forwards as they can develop earlier and succeed in juniors through physical maturity. The left centre, Kioa who missed the game on the weeked also looks like a prospect. The Lock, Smith was a real goer as well

Is there any highlights video of the national finals floating around?

Would love to see this flick pass they all raved about to win the game.

Not sure what age group you are referring to, but the Sharks junior clubs have their A grade sides (15 and 16's) playing in the Illawarra / group 7 junior comp as they need some stronger competition.

I doubt kids playing in the winning national u18 team would benefit from playing 14 or 15 year olds , even if they are from the mighty Illawarra. I am hearing De La U16a are pretty handy and with Matty's over will have 3 NSW schoolboys joining them.

Snoop, point Tuilagi to Como A grade. We need a powerful winger. I mean Opens not U15 too.

What's the go with these out of area kids. Do we find them work? If not how can they afford to stay on. Might as well go home. I understand. We have had a few u20s players and they have been good and appreciated. Plus I think it helps them as players. As one poster alluded to. It is not glorified touch.

Good to hear Keenan Yorston and Justin Timu have returned back to Sydney.

Lets hope they put their heads down and work hard for a call up to NYC.

It's odd, I can't think who's really keeping them out? isn't anyone going to NSW cup with loots injury?

If anything the NYC boys would go to jets before anyone from sg ball.

Cardy they went back home after the national cup win. They had been told at that point they were not required for NYC just yet so I had serious concerns if they would return back. Anyhow good to hear they made it back!!!

Snoop its right time for them to be in 20's, the team has won its last couple so playing with confidence, we need a try scoring centre

Snoop glad to see two of the more prominent players have been promoted by the Club.

They definitely were the main standouts and consistent in form.

:D

There must be. Shown on Foxsports last Friday. Like you I wanted to see the flick pass. The commentators all said it was forward and Townsville were robbed. It did look forward. Try 'YouTube'.

nswrl.com.au is streaming live the action from the U18 State Of Origin from about 5.45.

Featuring 5 Sharks from the successful SG Ball premiers squad including Curtis Scott, Daniel Vasquez, Billy Magoulias, Brock Illet (NSW) & Keenan Yorston (Qld).

Looking forward to seeing how they go in improved company.

Must be a sensation to get to play on the hallowed turf of the MCG!
