Realistically looking at those lists we don't have a lot to be upset about.
I mean honestly maybe 6 players we could do with who have left:
Lyon
Marsh
Tahu
Morrison
McKinnon
Tim Smith.
And of those 6, 4 of them of them we signed in the last 4 years anyway. We have lost quanitity but rarely quality, most of those guys on the list we lost are guys who have been massively criticized while they were at the club.
And realistically we have basically have not lost a junior who hadn't played first grade and went on to big things. So that would make you think the judgement has not been too bad.
The good players we have lost have been because of too much talent in front of them at the time and the judgement at the time was a sound one. Take Tonga, he left because we had 2 international centres who were going great in front of him. It would have been a big call at the time to boot out Vaealiki or Lyon, in hindsight that backfired on us.
Jason Cayless had two international front rowers in front of him Caylo and Vella, same thing hindsight.
But at the time it was pretty rational decision. Yes its annoying to lose players, but you can't sign them all, and history shows in terms of losing players we have done better than most.
I mean Brisbane have lost Petero, Thorn, Hannant, Tate in the last 12 months and now Kemp has gone to warriors.
