My thoughts exactly Moffo. I heard the score in the news, and I thought what a joke! And they still called it a test match. A test of what? The scoreboard attendant? The poor Namibian players who were being hammered? The rugby PR people (O'Neill, Jenkins and Co.) and how they were going to put a positive spin on this?

I may be a little sadistic but I loved watching that game. Mind you I also enjoyed getting up at 4:30 in the morning during the league world cup to watch the Kangaroos crush Russia 110-4. Every once in a while it's good to see the team you support rack up a ridiculous scoreline. Dimitri I don't see how anyone would struggle to stay awake watching it when 22 tries were scored. Scoring tries is of course the point of the game and the most entertaining aspect of it. I guess some of them were a bit dull (spread the ball wide, run the length of the field) but there were a few that were top class ( Lote's run and pass to set up the first one) and I find it odd to see a Union match suggested to be sleep inducing when it's a try-scoring fest, as more often than not the complaint is the lack of attacking play and abundance of penalty goals.

But sweep aside the statistics and the impressive aspect to this performance was the vigour with which the Wallabies, mostly a second-string outfit of fringe dwellers desperate to impress, attacked their demolition job.

They went for the jugular early, sweeping in for five tries in the opening 15 minutes to lead 33-0. They never gave the Namibians time to catch breath. Only once in the match did Australia go more than five minutes without scoring.
