Proved me & a financial controller @ the dogs wrong as well. But I can live with that.
I actually thought Vagana was going to be a good buy. I guess the 5 try game he had lingers in my mind. His try tally is also clearly visible.
But on watching him over the last few months, I don't see him being able to make any difference to the side because of any dynamic centre abilities I thought he had.
Therefore I think he was purchased, as I said before as a "plugin" for kimmorley & "mason" style runner, if not Mason himself.
I have no doubt that he has a knack of being in the right spot at the right time but I am convinced he is too slow to break the line.
He is a good "last man standing".

Or last nights game where 3 tries & 4 line breaks occurred down his side.
He was clearly targetted by the Roosters.

More half truths and relevant ommisions from the king of negativity.

Just can't get over Vagana coming to the Sharks despite your assurances he was a done deal for the Dogs.

Easts scored 4 tries last night. Chris Walker scoreed 2. One down the opposite side to Vagana( the one where the dogs player went for the intercept and knocked it into the Rooster) and one down the centre off an inside pass from Fittler.

The one try I clearly remember being near Vagana was where Vagana and the winger were up against 5 or 6 Roosters, Incidently Vagana took his man, Ricketson, down but he was a little luckily able to throw the ball out the back. Any fair minded i.e. non Blacktip, fan would hardly be able to blame Vagana for that try but rather the whole team for not numbering up.

I don't remember the Hegarty try.

I made a mistake. THe inside pass from Fittler was to another player who scored up the middle.

The second Walker try was also from a Fittler bust up the middle and to Walker who scored.

So we go from 3 tries down Vangana side to 1. And that was on a 5-6 man overlap where Vagana put his man on the ground.

No wonder I read most of Griefy's posts with scepticism.

OK, maybe it wasn't 3 tries directly. But the line breaks were there.

Are you saying then PJ that Vaganas defense has been good through the finals?
Are you also saying that the Roosters did not target his side as a weakness?

What I was saying is that you were decieving the forum members yet again and pushing your little vendetta against Anderson directly and the Sharks as a sideline.

Do be honest I didn't watch the first week of the semis as I was out of the country.

The second week I didn't think he was bad at all against the Storm??

I also don't think he was that bad last night. The Roosters made plenty of breaks and most that I can recollect were up the middle with Wing and Fittler doing the most damage

well, I am excited about the signing of Vagana. Sharks were lacking in attack this year, I think he is one who can help us improve in that area.

And his defence? It's not gonna be any worse than what we saw at the Sharks this year anyway!

It's hard to believe that although Nigel Vagana is widely regarded as one of the top 3 centres in the world, Reefy still finds a way to be negative.

Why don't you go support St. George so we can enjoy hating you.

anyone whyo night question Vagana's defence only needs to look at last week's game against the Storm, holding up two players over the line. And of course, there were his two tries...

He was clearly targetted by the Roosters.
Thats simply because el-magic runs in to defend all the time, obviously he has no confidence in his own defence so he runs in to try to catch the centre out...all team coaches are aware of this thats why they target that side of the ruck

Yeah, all good in theory, unfortunately El Masri didn't get near them. They were already way past him on the inside of Vagana.

Why would anyone target anything but that side of the ruck when you have Ben Harris and Matt Utai on the other? Tackling machines and clearly very strong. Once again you fail to see the big picture.
