Where do you think he will play for you guys next year? I personally don't think much could beat the Berrigan/Tate centre pairing but we all know how attrocious Hodges is on the wing. Could he end up being stuck in the Toowoomba side?

I think ultimately he and Kelly will be the wingers next year but Tate does have the ability to play on the wing.

I reckon our backline will consist of...

1. Hunt
2. Tate
3. Berrigan
4. Hodges
5. Kelly
6. Lokyer
7. Seymour

This backline actually seems somewhat good if Hodges regains his old 2002/2003 form.

He'll either end up on the wing or (my prefered option) Tate will move to the wing so that Hodges can play in the centres.

I'm not that happy when I heard the news about Hodges going back to the Broncos...but oh well...He'll probably play on the wing, now that Frawley's going to Canberra.

I dunno why anyone would move tate to the wing for HODGES! Justin might not like playing on the wing, but Tate is imo the best centre in the game...

The times when Hodges has played sh*t was when he was playing for the roosters. Remember when he first started playing for the broncos he played on the wing and was a good winger. He scored a few tries too. Then mister Tiquiri came along.

That was a waste of money, Hodges is the most over-rated player in the game and on top of that, he is the biggest wanker. Berrigan and Tate is all you need that is a solid centre pairing. I'd rather have Minto and Kelly/Parfitt or any Clydesdale player on the wing instead of Hodges anyday.

Hodges should sit around all day and watch tapes of Tuquri and Sailor. He should be playing on the wing and just trying to emulate them. It should be that simple. Whatever other crap is in his head about playing centre or fullback he should forget.

Didn't your team want joey a few years ago ;-)

No

Joey was using the Broncos to get more money from the Knights.

The Broncos knew that, so they decided to play along.

Just like Joey was going to go & play Union.

To think that Justin Hodges is anything other than a colossal waste of time and money is ridiculous. He is without a doubt the worst possible signing the Broncos can make. He can hardly make a Roosters side that is pretty weak on centres. The way Berrigan has been playing in the centres he will be there forever and a day. To move a walk up starter in the centres for any team in the world in Tate would be only the biggest blunder the team could make, akin to Hodges debut on the wing for Queensland in 2002.

Common sense hasnt come through in the mere fact Hodges has made the move up north. But lets hope he doesnt play in the centres with a fit Berrigan and Tate. Because the way Karmichael Hunt has made his impression this year, there isnt much hope for him at fullback either, which is ironically the reason he signed with the Roosters three years ago.

Hodges is overrated now. Before he had his knee reconstruction in the second Origin a few years ago he WAS a great player for Easts.

However, he put on weight, gained an extrodinary ego and also had many personal problems which he's failed to overcome. His ex-girlfriend (the girl after he broke up with his fiancee') is a friend of mine from uni, and says he tends to act like a child at times.

I think Bennett is an amazing coach, and have great respect for him (coming from a Saints supporters point of view) because he gets the best out of his players, but I have to question the wisdom of this. I guess if you can get Stu Kelly to perform, you can get Hodges to as well.

I hope for your sake you didn't spend too much of your salary cap on him.

Actually, he had the ego before the injury (he actually said something about acting arrogant gave him more confidence and allowed him to play better or something #-o ).

It supposedly takes two years to completely recover from that kind of injury, so hopefully he'll get back into the form that he was in in 2002. If so then he'll be a great signing. If not, well, he'll be a not-so-great signing.
