Good on him. Bit invisible in the medias eyes because he's off the bench and Parra have been struggling. Also, as you have alluded to, the hacks had the knives out for him earlier in the year. Thye built himup at Saints last year & didn't hesitate to cut him down when he started off slowly.
He's a great bloke, Poorey. It was def hard for him at the start. He was passionate about Saints & he was shattered the way we finished last year & it took him a good while to come to terms with the fact that he wouldn't finish his career with only club he'd ever thought of playng for. He's just a passionate man & that can hurt him sometimes.
But, as the years gone on, he's moved on & really has settled well for you blokes. He'll wear that jumper with just as much passion as he ever did at my club & you'll be seeing some great form & the return of the media praise next year when he's starting. Probably under the headlines similar to what I've just written. A feel good story of redemption or some such bullsh*t. You can see it coming now.
