Justin Timberlake concert

Did anyone else here go to one of JT’s concerts? If you didn’t, then I feel extremely sorry for you.

I went to his Brissie concert on Saturday night and it was awesome, much better than even I had anticipated. He rocked it out a fair bit which was great to see. Played most of the songs on his Justified album, as well as an oldish rock song (have no idea what its called, but its really catchy) and a few NERD songs. Was good to see for a couple of songs that he actually played guitar as well. I had an absolute ball! It was easily the bets concert I have been to. Only disappointing thing was that the visual effects were pretty poor and could definitely have been better. Mind you when he did his little dance thing at the end, that more than made up for it! I don’t think I have stopped smiling since Definitely worth $135.

His support act was Cristian Alexanda who was fantastic as well. I think this guy is going to be huge in rnb. He’s got some really funky tracks, and is a bit similar to Usher. I cant wait til his album is released, he currently has a single out Misunderstood which is pretty catchy. His voice sounds a little bit like Nelly, but his style is different.

I was very seriously considering attending JT's show Mel, if it were maybe $50 cheaper I probably would have gone.

and a few NERD songs

What NERD songs did he play Melle Mel?

Totally not my thing but from what I've heard he was much better than anybody expected. Good on him for obviously trying to prove himself as a musician and artist rather than just miming along with a bunch of half naked dancers like most other artists who appeal to his sort of audience (I'm looking at you, Spears and Elliot)

I heard that this was intended, because he wanted the show to be about the music, not the effects.

Godz, I think you would have absolutely loved it, would have been just your thing. He played Rockstar and She Wants to Move and a little of another that I cant think of at the moment.
He also did this little rap thingy which was hilarious with some beatbox stuff in which there was a lot of audience participation.

When I found out how much it was, I had second thought about going, but I am so glad that I did now, it was sensational.
