JWH OMG MVP LOL STGi

Since JWH has been back in 3 out of 4 halves we've kept the opposition scoreless.

We have kept teams scoreless in a half 12 times out of 22 halves of football he has played for us this year including 4 games conceding zero. We didn't hold a team scoreless in any half of football while he was out.

We conceded 99 points in the 5 games he missed and have conceded 98 in the 11 he has played.

Our most valuable player IMO.

As much as the hookers and fullbacks get all the kudos these days, players like JWH show just how important an agressive pack leader is and how front row is arguably the most important position on the field, or at least on par with the 'spine' players. I'd love to have him at the Knights.

My boys favourite player..and that includes $BW..

I have a serious man crush on him..my missus is worried i may jump the fence..

He has taken his game to a new level this year..

The vice captaincy is fitting him like a glove..

My favourite player as well. Not only a great talent on the field but an absolute champion off the field.

Good point on the vice captaincy. It has to be said that all players who received their leadership duties this year have improved out of sight and you can definitely notice the maturity developing. Boyd Cordner is progressing faster than anticipated and should be our future captain, Jake Friend is having has best ever season, Mitchell Pearce is also having a good season and has openly admitted he has changed his off field life and JWH has become our MVP. All good blokes off the field.

Anthony Minichiello is having a strong year as well. Trent Robinson got the leadership group spot on.

Definitely gone another level under Robinson, i'd have him up there as one of your MVP's, it would be interesting to see the impact SBW leaving would have IF he chose to go back to Union.

It's probably more a case of how much $BW misses JWH..

He seemed to at stages while Jared was out suspended..

He's the heart and drive of this team plain and simple. Both he and Boyd have the drive and will that lifts entire sides. Got captaincy written all over him when mini calls time.

Agreed, in particular with friend. In the beginning that selection probably had a lot of people confused but his performance this season has been outstanding. He'll take over Smith once he retires in origin.

Yeah I've always had that thought, but he tested me last year.

He's always had the ability, but his run selection was just so poor at times. From what I've read, he's worked very hard on that area with Paul Green and it's obviously showing. He was outstanding the other night. Our best for mine.

He looks like he has lost weight around the stomach and that's probably the reason why he is running the ball more this year. I'm sure I read either Robinson or Taylor at the end of last year talking about the need to improve fitness not to mention Robinson gives him a spell in the middle period of games rather than leaving him to slug it out for 80 minutes as a tackling machine.

Friendy does look a bit trimmer. His running game has been outstanding this year, and he's pulled a kicking game from somewhere too

We just don't seem to have any obvious weaknessess at the moment, except a backup goal kicker when BBQ is out. Hell even SKD is getting somewhere back to something decent (nowhere near 2010 form but he's getting there). It's just a good feeling knowing that we have one shithot footy side this year. Onwards and upwards.

Morts is quite a decent kicker. Robbo's just got to remember to put him in the starting line up when BBQ can't play

Last year he kicked on second tackle against Manly (I think?) on about our own 40m line and with the entire field at his disposal he found Brett Stewart on the full. He was hammered mercilessly by the crowd but I was rather pleased with his intent it was just shit execution. I'm glad he has brought it back.
