With Australia Day happening yesterday Fox Sports had an Australian Victories special.

Tuned in late ( after being out at the obligatory bbq !) and the two games mentioned in the title were on.


May have been Oz victories ......but geez GB showed some skill, courage and grit in both games. Especially '86 after two Test defeats.

I know he is a former player who has his detractors these days ......but Gary Schofield was a thorn in the Kangaroos side during this period of time.


Not going to get into the "Tours should come back" old chestnut .....just reminiscing ........


PS. In the 'what if....' category ........'What if Offiah had not been taken off hurt in the 1990 game.....would he have caught Stuart during his run ???"

The 2nd test match in the 1990 series was an absolute classic match..I remember staying up late to watch that in a pub in Sydney.

The Great Britain try in the first test was excellent.I think Dennis Betts had a great game for the poms..

They should have a 3 test match series again every two years.
