I found out from the ARL (Ph 02 92314488) that the Roos arrive into Sydney November 26 (Wed.) at 6.20 am Terminal 1 (International Airport) Flight QF 006.

They said the whole team will arrive and no details of the arrival to Brissie as of yet.

Those interested may want to double check with that flight as the day gets closer. Wear your Roos jersey, flags, and so. I hope they will have details of the Brissie arrival for those coming from Sydney so I can do the same!!!!!

P.S I'm past the autograph stage but heck, I'll do it for the cameras!!! Show the media we care. Bring your mates along. Perfect time before work!!

ok just wondering who else is actually going to welcome the kangaroos home tommorow morning.
i am currently rounding up a few mates to come along and it would be great to see the largest group possible in attendance. the kangaroos deserve the support so lets give it to them. drag your arses out of bed and get to the airport to let the roos know they are still loved by the australian public.
wear your jerseys, wave your flags and if we get enough people together be prepared to make some noise.
cheers

I called the NSW Leagues club today to confirm the time. They also just mentioned on the channel nine news that the Kangaroos were arriving early tomorrow morning and that it would be good if a few people were there to welcome them.

I'm not looking forward to getting up before 5am, but it's worth it. I don't have any Australian stuff to take. I had a look around today in the city, but couldn't find any kangaroos flags, which is what I was after. I might make a sign or something. See everyone there.

I'll be there. I have a Kangaroos jersey to wear. I also have a football for them to sign and a Panthers jersey for the Penrith boys to sign.

I rang the NRL yesterday and they told me 7:20am. I then checked this forum and the Qantas website. It is definitely 6:20am. I hope no-one gets caught out by this mistake and that the girl that spoke to me made a one off mistake.

Well that wasn't what I expected it to be. Only a few of the players were there. The Queenslanders must have went straight to Brisbane.

I thought it would be better organised than what it was. I was expecting them to all come out together so the fans could yell and cheer and wave the green and gold, but it wasn't to be. There were plenty of tv cameras and press there and about 20 or so supporters all looking, waiting for the next player to walk out. It took about half an hour between the first player to walk out (Luke Lewis) and the last. They got rushed by the cameras and the fans, and when Robbie Kearns came out with the trophy, he got a few claps. That was the height of it though. I stood there like an idiot holding the poster that was in the sports section of the Telegraph, waiting for an opportunity to hold it up at the right time (when everyone else was cheering and waving), but it didn't come.

Well done to the others who made the effort. I wonder how it'll look on tv.

It's usual practice ha players come out staggered. They have to go through Customs and get themselves ready and suited up. It also helps the media interviews.

I got 11 players and Ando's autograph. And Luke Lewis was on the Today show signing my football.

Considering it was at 6.20am I thought it was an OK turnout. The players were all very hospitble (especially the Panthers since I asked them for 2 signatures). They were polite and approachable, especially good considering it was early.

I heard some players arrive back on Monday. I may go again.

I was pretty impressed by the players hospitality. I half expected them to be a bit grumpy or hung over, but they were more than happy to sign autographs and answer questions. Chris Anderson was happy to have a chat. He's a lot more relaxed than what I'd have imagined. Shane Webcke was impressive as usual, and so was Robbie Kearns. They're great ambassadors for the game. I was looking forward to seeing Lockyer though. I reckon he would have got a big cheer.

ibeme. I've just fired off a letter to the Tele.

Something along the line of "A lot has been said about the Wallabies. But we must not forget our victorious Rugby League team." I then go on about their great achievements and very impressive behaviour at the airport. It put in a point about how their behaviour made them great role models etc and makes Australia proud. Corny stuff but the paper may go for that.

My experience is that writing to the Tele gives you a better chance of getting published than the Herald. You should write a letter in. Everyone should. The more letters we write, the greater our chance of getting one published.

http://dailytelegraph.news.com.au/haveyoursay.jsp?sectionid=1258&feedbacktopicid=9&storyid=139701

You can write a letter at the above link. Get it in early (before 3pm) so that the editor has tyime to read it and include it in tomorrow's edition. Also, be polite, positive and non confrontational.

jeffles,

Good idea. I've done my bit in the past with letters in the tele trying to lift league and the Kagaroos profile, particulary during the world cup. I'll send in another one along the same line as yours.

Nice work guys. I may have gone if not for an exam this morning. Anyway great commitment to the cause and i hope your letters get published.

I am still trying ot figure out what to do with my poster. Not sure if I want it for the bedroom wall or maybe I'll stick it up around Uni somewhere.

Got the noggin on Fox Sports and ABC news when Shane Webcke signed my football. With my ego, I could get used to these airport appearances
