I think we should all make twitter accounts and give Danny weidler all his 'scoops' make him look like a right dickhead...more than he already is.

Rumors could include:

Fui fui leaving parra for a professional wrestling career
Marshal taking up a multi million deal with man united.

I'm sure Danny could run along with these...They r more believable than his so called 'scoops'

Weidler just sucks up to whoever feeds him stories: hence he has become the main pr guy and apologist for team mundine and sbw; also blokes like mason and edore that c walker. They all gave him stories so he protects them.

Sounds like he has a contact high in souths who is dirty on missing Sandow to me.

That person is probably bunniesman from the forums

I don't care as I'm not a punter, but I do hate these constant Glen Munsie live betting updates when watching the footy. Thankfully it's now been banned.
i thought it was only the exotic bets like if there is a field goal or first score by a penalty kick (also known as a tandy) that were banned i didnt know live betting was banned not that id complain if it was

Danny Weedler wrote a story in today's paper casting aspersions (again) upon Sandow. Saying that he has had "phone calls" saying that he got in a fight at a wedding and that his gambling thing is not being managed.

He also commented in passing that we were paying him over $550k - like he would know shit about anything, especially what we are paying a player. He's got that figure from Rusty's tweet no doubt.

I usually post links but today I'm not going to as it would only provide the merkin with more hits on the article than he deserves.

i'll take a hit for everyone so they can still read it but not give that douche any support
ALMOST every time Chris Sandow heads to Cherbourg this column receives reports about his behaviour in his home town - and more times than not it's negative.

Take last week. I received calls that Sandow had been involved in a fight after a wedding last Friday night. It was alleged that the halfback and his cousin were involved in a scuffle with two women. My initial inquiries revealed that Sandow went to the defence of his mother, who was knocked down at the wedding, and I was told that no police were called and no one was charged.

Two days after making those calls further information revealed that two women went to local police to report the incident - but the word was that the allegations made against Sandow were "tissue thin". Police also confided that Sandow was generally a very good influence when he returned to the mission and was seen as something of a role model. Regardless of what happened, Parramatta are going to have to carefully monitor Sandow's trips back home.

The Eels say they have received no complaints about his behaviour in the past week. His manager did not reply to a message to call. As brilliant as Sandow is - and he is a remarkable talent - he comes with a warning label, something you don't want when you are paying him more than $500,000 a season. You'll remember that Sandow went missing before the Rabbitohs' last game of the year, which really irked his teammates. Also, you can take it as fact that he did not have much of an off-field relationship with his Souths halves partner, John Sutton. Parramatta are also aware their star recruit has ongoing issues with gambling.

let me get this straight even though the police said the allegations were 'tissue thin' and sandow was not the instigator regardless of what happened we have to monitor his trips home??
so even if he did nothing wrong he's still guilty by suspicion and needs to be kept under surveillance like a convicted child molester parked outside a daycare centre:crazy:
and 'almost' every time sandow returns home weedler receives negative reports about his behaviour but the police say he is 'generally a very good influence' and 'something of a role model' hmm :-k

Wow what a BS article. Sandow is a good influence and went to help his mum. Geez what a troublemaker Danny! If that had been Mundine or SBW the story would have made them out to be a saint.

I think there's little doubt that our team manager will be working overtime to make sure he's on the straight and narrow...

Daley also has high hopes for Chris Sandow, who will make his representative debut alongside his former Rabbitohs team-mates Inglis and Nathan Merritt on Saturday.
Sandow linked up with Parramatta this year and Daley has no doubt he can carry his good form to the Eels.
"Chris is great to have around the place," Daley said.
"He's a lot of fun and keeps the place buzzing. Steve Kearney at Parramatta has been really pleased with how he's gone in pre-season.
"He's been impressed with his professionalism and also his fitness and how he's worked in training.
"Chrissy is blessed with so much talent and I see no reason why Parramatta cannot go well with him as their halfback."

CHRIS Sandow admits he shed tears when he left South Sydney to join Parramatta at the end of last year, but the diminutive halfback is confident he can help bring back the good times to the Eels.

Parramatta have missed out on the top eight for the past two years following their memorable run to the grand final in 2009 and another failure in 2012 would see them miss the play-offs for a third straight year for the first time since 1996.

However, Sandow believes the strength of the squad at his new club should see them improve on last year's 14th-place finish.

"It was really hard to leave Souths, I cried," Sandow said.

"Leaving behind boys like Nathan Merritt (and) John Sutton was hard, they will be my friends for life.

"But I am enjoying Parramatta, the boys have made me feel very welcome and there are some real good players there and I believe we can have a successful season."

Sandow's outstanding second-half to the 2011 season was rewarded with the starting halfback spot for Saturday's Indigenous All Stars game at Skilled Park.

It is somewhat ironic that the 23-year-old will make his representative debut at the home ground of the Gold Coast Titans, the club that released him five years ago.

Sandow was shown the door after he kept missing training as he struggled being away from his young family in the small Aboriginal settlement town of Cherbourg, 150km north west of Brisbane.

Cherbourg is one of the regions that have benefited from schemes generated by money raised made from the All Stars game and Sandow said he has been inundated with requests for tickets for the match with the local hero lining up alongside Johnathan Thurston in the halves.

"Half of the town is coming," he said.

"My mum and dad are going to be here and they are looking forward to seeing me play with these boys and I don't want to let my friends and family down.

"It is every young kid's dreams to play with JT and it is a huge thing for me. Hopefully I can learn things from guys like him as I am still learning the game and take it back to Parramatta."

Sandow said he holds no grudges against the Titans for releasing him and said he would love to return to the club as a player again one day.

"Everything happened for a reason," he said.

"I don't regret what happened, it was probably good for me to grow up, but things have worked out well since.

"I enjoyed living on the Gold Coast and who knows, maybe one day I'll come back and replace Scotty Prince."

Chris can do whatever he wants when his contract expires in 4 years - but really?? not exactly the most intelligent thing to say before you have even pulled on your new clubs jersey for the first time...
