For the metal fans: I'm interviewing the Canadian DM gods tomorrow - any questions you'd like me to ask? I assume there are some Kataklysm fans floating around here ...

Interviewed Daniel from In Flames today too and Zakk Wylde next week, loving this gig!!!

To Kataklysm:

How did you guys get to be so bloody awesome?

Seriously, though - what sort of quotes will they be using for their new works?

Have they ever considered brancing off into anoher genre? You know, for the cash?

Who would they claim as their bigges idols/influences?

Haha, funny thing is I was so hungover this morning I forgot to ask any of those questions!

Anyway, spoke to Jean-Francois - nice guy, very enthusiastic.

So did anyone else go to any of the shows?

I went to Sydney and Brisbane and loved every minute of it.

It would have been nice if they'd played at least one song from the Sylvain era (they didn't even break out "The Awakener", boo!), but the setlist was pretty hard to fault in general.

How awesome are Dawn Of Azazel?!

I've been going to so many gigs recently that I'm having a break!

Might go see Soilwork and I think Testament are touring? I'll have to check my emails again.

Anyway, I interviewed Steve from Deicide last week and I've got interviews in the next two weeks with WASP, Testament and Chimaira so should be good.

Once this website gets finished properly I'll post a link for you blokes - just having a few problems uploading all of the interviews at the moment.

Yeah, I need a break as well. I've been to 4 gigs in the last 2 weeks (Immortal, Kataklysm x2, Whitesnake). I've got a ticket for Mayhem and I'm planning on catching Joe Satriani, especially as he's playing the day after my birthday.

I was considering Children Of Bodom as I missed them last time but the $80 ticket price is putting me off a bit, especially as I haven't listened to anything post "Follow The Reaper". I'll see how enthusiastic I'm feeling a bit closer to time.

I forgot about WASP!

Coverdale is losing it a tad. He can't hit the high notes without his pitch shifter anymore and he messed up lyrics more than once. He's still a great frontman and the other guys were good in their "hired gun" type way. Reb Beach is glam's answer to Hellhammer in the bandwhore game.

There was a lot of "1987" era stuff played which was great because that's the only album of theirs that I have

The support band sucked, whoever they were.

I caught some posted footage on youtube, Still of the night and bad boys looked good.

Sort of glad i missed it in a sense, Im going to WASP next week, hope they or blackie for that matter dont let me down, this is one band I have waited over 20 years to see.
