So you don't like Simmons, or Brown.

Kearney is injured, and Goodwin is 1 match away from a bonus payment and the club has no intention of keeping him.

What is your backline?

Why are you judging Simmons vs. Brown?

I'm not talking about Simmons, I know Simmons is playing ****.

Brown isn't playing as **** as Simmo, he just isn't impressing me.

a) Because you wanted to know from me why I thought Brown was class. I did it as a comparison for you to make it clear.

b) Because you seem to think, even if you tentatively admit Simmons is playing shyte, that Paris is better than Brown. It's come through in your posts to more than just me.

Now my turn

What would impress you about a player? You can answer generally or stick with Brown/Simmons.

I'm thinking something like 2 1/2 somersault in pike position with a full twist from the handstand position off a springboard while doing a sudoko and baking muffins.

I have a feeling you like things flash

Well ok, there is one player that comes to mind, Brett Kearney.

He runs hard, he talks, basically he does all of those things you mentioned before.

I ask again though, you don't rate Simmo or Brown, Kearney is injured and Goodwin can't be selected for cap restraints.

What is your 1 - 5 backline?

dont worry..ive had this same argument with facedown on another forum..

saying brown is crap is just like saying simmo is tough..

brown is brilliant and does 10x more work then goodwin and actually likes to attack the ball where as goodwin stands on his wing and doesnt come in and paris runs in the other direction

Hey Frenz and Vossy.
I think everyone is forgetting how well Brown played at fullback in the 2nd half of the comp last year when Kearney was out injurred. After his game last week that form has carried through to this year.
He is 2000 times better than Simmons at fullback.

hey ima

after watching the game today, no doubt browns best position is fullback..he puts his body on the line and not affraid to attack the ball, and to top off a great game he pulled off a beauty of a tackle that saved a try..

but with kearney being brilliant at the back no doubt brown has to be on the wing.

brown is doing well

but that first try was last tackle, the play was telegraphed and yet browny was no where to be seen

kearney would have had that grubber covered well and truly

a good positional fullback allows the defensive line to stay just that - a defensive line, to cover the option of the spread

Yeah spide agree. In fact I think Brown struggled a bit with a lot of gathers both in the air and on the ground.

The bomb he let go could of been a try, admittedly he did seem to slip. Then there was the other one when he and Misi were looking at it with a monster charging them down.

He'll get there.
