Keep Gallen at 5/8?

Would you all be keeping Gallen at 5/8 after the game against Easts? He doesnt go too badly, but would you prefer Sullivan or Aitken etc. to have the spot?

One thing that I like about him being there is that he hits the line real hard when the ball comes out of the scrum. The backlines are gonna have some problems stopping this bloke by himself. I think it could go alright.

Id love to see Bird back at 5/8 when he returns, i think he will be trying his hardest to make up for his past mistakes. When do Bird, Nutley and Gallen come off contract ?

Give Aitken a go, what's the worst that could happen? We are supposed to be rebuilding not hanging on to third last place with both hands. Let's blood a few blokes. If they haven't got what it takes, good, we won't be wasting time with them in the future.

Get these young blokes through.

Ross
Aitken
Galloway
Makisi ;-) Reefy
Goodwin, Bronx

etc etc etc

I think Sully needs to start. Put him at 5/8.

Well I only caught the last 10 minutes or so of Saturday night and, during that time, saw Sully treated as a speedbump a couple of times, both of which led to the last two tries.

He's a defensive liability. I much prefer him off the bench.

You'd try Franze at 5/8th? He can't even play well enough to keep his spot in the centres. If Aitken isn't going to be the saviour at 5/8th let's prove that now, once and for all. Perfect opportunity while Bird is out. ;-)

We need another ball player to take the pressure of Noddy like Scott Hill did in the City country game. I think like McSharkie said lets find out if Aitken is ready once and for all. If it doesnt work out let him go back to PL till he is ready. Aitken is a quality ball player and id love to see what he can do down the right with Merritt and Vagana.
Also if you want Gallens hit up and defence off the scrum pack Russ in as lock and just let Gallen play 5/8 at the scrum. It could be a happy median with the way we use Gallen.

Gallen at 5/8th didn't look bad at all, but I don't think this can be a long term solution.

I would like to see Sullivan get a run there.

For the wingers, keep Merrit, drop Simmons. I just don't think Simmons is up to the top grade standard. His defence worries me

Simmons has scored two pretty good try's in his last two games. Does this make up for his defence? I was pretty shocked to hear them say he's only been playing footy for 3 years!!!!!! is this true?
I thought I heard them say this on the fox replay.

Thats true about Simmons. He has not played football for long at all. This explains why he needs to work on certain aspects of his game and why i believe he needs to go to PL to work on them.
Yes he scored two good trys over the last few weeks but the amount he has let in does not justify his inclusion in the team IMO.

Simmons also let two tries in against the Roosters. He couldn't control the high balls and the roosters were right to target him.

He does show lots of promise in attack, I just think he needs a bit more time to build up some confidence and improve on his defence

The solution IS GALLEN! Awsome in defence and hard to stop in attack. Sully is way to small in the defensive line and Atkien ( has anyone been watching PL , he hasnt been going that well) to small and too young. As for Bronx Ive never seen a more over rated player, I watched him for the whole of PL on saturday and he is " park footie" standard. I feel he is there because of his antecedents.
