Kerry's Legacy is enormous. A very sad day. In these days of immense competition from rival codes, we should all remember this quote from him:

"Rugby League and Cricket are the two great sporting codes in Australia"

A very sad day indeed! This man has shaped sport in Australia for nearly 40 years. He has turned Australia into one of the top ranking sporting nations in the world, wether it be footy, cricket or golf.
He will be sorely missed, and hopefully his son James can keep Kerry's dream alive.
Condolences to his family and all who knew him.

I fail to see how its sad, this guy never wanted for anything.

Ex employees dying form asbestos disease is sad.

Kids dying of starvation is sad.

Old people dying and not being found for weeks is sad.

who gives a sh*t, he was lucky enough to be born into a wealthy family, why deny him solely because of that?

He was hardly a great Australian.. lets not get carried away. He had unlimited wealth and just hoarded it that was his life.. why is he so great exactly ?

It's sad for any family to lose a loved one, and it is sad when it happens around Christmas.

Kerry Packer was a well liked man, regardless of how much money he had.

I want to pass on my condolances to the Packer family...

The question now is...What will this mean for all the sports that channel nein have the rights to?
