If he rated him, Hages would have used him when the Pig got injured. Didn't happen. Hages just kept on saying that it's a huge step up from VB to NRL and even bigger from NYC.

Looking at what happens at other clubs, he doesn't seem to have the balls to use young kids. On the other hand Wayne Bennett will often pick random kids and play them now and then. Giving them a taste, crucial experience and fueling their ambition.

Yeah what I meant was he must have rated him initially considering he was part of our top 25 at the start of the season, despite not being used he must have been included for a reason. You're right though, Hagan seems set in his ways... If he gives these young guys a chance here and there it could end up worthwhile later if they are to become regular first graders. I'd rather see a young Parra junior given a go then sign some useless unwanted nuffy like Kevin Kingston.

part of the reason why him, KK and tim Mannah were in the fulltime squad was to simply get some experiance with being involved with fulltime off season training with the top 25 and basically because their sallery doesn't come under the poultry 200K sallary cap for the NYC squad..

That's crap, Hagan has introduced a fair few young Juniors to first grade this year and last year.

Oake
Mateo
INU
K Keating
Matt Keating
Huaraki
Wright
T Williams
Junior Paulo

Hagan deserves a fair bit of spray after the year we have had. Fair enough we had a bad season. But nobody can honestly say that he doesn't give the Juniors a fair go.

actually, there's a school of thought that suggest that he may of overplayed his hand with the juniors.

kingston in a great signing was very disapointed to lose him for the season and now for good, would of been our no1 hooker all year if it wasnt for injury, i rated him a better player then degois but some sharks fan would differ, very underated and should be your starting hooker next year, not a bench player, defensive wise he is the of the best hookers i the comp and you should notice that within the team when he plays

Spot on post - it's a tragedy the sharks got rid of Kinga for the ageing Corey Hughes and the trigger happy Seu Seu. I have no doubt he will shine at Parra - he was well and truly on the outer at the sharks. Ricky stifled Kingas game by instructing him not to run - unlike when Raper was at the helm and gave him free license. The stats support that theory. Kinga's only crime at the sharks was he towed the company line and played to instruction becoming merely a ball distributor from dummy half. Hopefully Hagan will give him free reign and if that happens Keating will be Kingstons back up - take that to the bank. His defence is also first rate as is his work rate. He'll plug the holes in the middle of the ruck. I hope u guys give him a break and support him because he'll always give you 110% whilst ever he is wearing your colours - and you'll never read about him carrying on like a d*ckhead at the leagues club after a game. he is one to take time out and talk to the fans and thats why i for one am sorry he is leaving the sharks. Good luck Kinga!

the reason he was instructed not to run because he was far to slow and could never break the line. he has no attacking skills
just a great defender
he will get plenty of time at wenty

I actually watched the Wenty and Cobra's game last night and from a few weeks back and Kinga played halfback with Seu Seu at hooker and I thought he did quite well, actually handled the first receivers role quite well and set up Cronulla's first try to Filiga and had a similar try disallowed.

He moved to hooker in the second half and had to put up with a lazy, tired pack behind him but still set up another try from a smart dart from dummy half, he was also one of their best defenders and tbh I can't understand why Stuart chose Seu Seu ahead of Kingston on a regular basis.

If Marty Mitchel stays, which I've been told is a possibility than we may see him at 7 with Robson playing 6 for Wenty.
