8 or 9. Ridley Scott is the man. Makes Troy and Alexander look like they were made by dirty stinking amateurs.

Wildly inconsistent, overly politicised. Nice fight scenes, but omg... if you're looking for a plot, try something else.

I found no fault with the plot. As for inconsistent, that is also debatable. All the performances were spot on - Bloom surprisingly so. The battle scenes were both beautiful and savage, and I found the said 'politics' both feasible and agreeable. Contrary to the growing trend of period epics, this movie was enjoyable to watch.

I'd give it 6.5. It was nothing special. Seemed like a rather poor Gladiator clone, with a far less talented leading man.

I dont know if I will bother to see this, my love of ancient battles has somewhat dried up after an overwhelming number of them popping up everywhere...Alexander was good though, probably because I'm a huge Kilmer fan, but none the less...

Is Kiera Knightly is in this?

Nope, no Kiera Knightly. Noticeable cast members are Orlando Bloom, Jeremy Irons, Edward Norton, and Liam Neeson.

I'm looking forward to seeing it. I loved Gladiator so I don't think I'll mind this at all. my main concern: Orlando Bloom. I don't think he has 'the X-factor to hold up as the mai character

That was my biggest issue with the movie. Orlando doesn't have the 'brooding dark hero' vibe that Crowe carried. Even Pitt had more of it than Bloom.

Just saw it...thought it was pretty average! 4 out of 10 at best...it was practically "Gladiator 2"!
