I have big fears for PNG now...i think Samoa could beat PNG...

Good game...and less one person on here, i thought the referee did well. Lets hope Samoa or Fiji play the Kiwis next year.

Samoa need more test matches on paper they are alright, I thought the halfback played pretty well considering i have never heard of him before. They have some potential just wish Samoa,Tonga, Fiji would have more tests it might stop some defections.

Anthem proud?

A quarter of the NZ team didn't know the f**king words.

Just shows what a farce international eligibility rules are IMO.

Bollocks. 'Sif they don't know their own national anthem. You may be correct in saying they don't all know the Maori translation, however, when I was at school they were only doing the English version. I think it was mid to late 90s that the Maori version was incorporated into these types of situations (should have been earlier IMO).

Now how the f**k was that not a knock on?

If you are talking about Vatuvei's drop out return, Lauitiiti very clearly stripped it out. He called play on, but it should have been a Kiwis penalty if anything.

On your non obstruction call, obstruction every day of the week. Players moved in to tackle who they thought would be the ball recipient creating half a gap. Penalty.

On the game, very enjoyable to watch. Love the intensity of the war cries at the start.

Loved the way Samoa took to the match in the first 20 minutes, their ball play at the line was outstanding. A few of the touches from the likes of Lauitiiti, Solomona and Puletua shows how skillful they are, and how only if they could get fit for an NRL team how devastating they could all be. Solomona in particular has outstanding ball skills. Pita Godinet who is with the Warriors next year... didn't impress me to be honest. If there was one thing Samoa lacked off the back of their great start was someone to control it and then execute a play to get them over the line. Perhaps he's more of a hooker.

For the Kiwis, Greg Eastwood stood out at prop. Top footwork at the line put him over the advantage line many times. Nathan Fien played well at halfback, incisive and direct. Benji when he ran the ball in the first half was dangerous. SKD looked the goods. Nightingale, complete footballer. Does it all and is horribly underrated. And Mannering when he came on and played centre showed some great touches to create three tries. Leuluai out of dummy half was quite incisive too.

Entertaining game, the Kiwis need to improve their goal kicking and tighten up their completion rate a little. Otherwise they look good to go.

David Solomona is (was) such a waste of talent. Even at 32, 20kg overweight and hitting the line like a wet paper towel, no-one can tackle him.

Amazing talent isn't he ?
One of the most gifted ball playing forwards i've ever seen.

Was impressed at times with Iosefa, he started well but faded as the game went on for Samoa.

why won't they announce the crowd I reckon its a conspiracy! An international league game got a good crowd and no one talks about it and the one pic foxsports runs with shows the ONE empty stand!

Yep. Rather begs the question of why he hasn't made more of himself.

Obviously weight and fitness are a big part, but I also feel he's over-done the "ball playing" part. When he played in Australia I always recall him getting bagged for pushing too many bad offloads. He's only able to offload because of how ridiculously hard he is to bring to ground, so maybe he should've focused on just running a bit more. I always felt the same about Ali Lauiti'iti.

Maybe I'm being a bit harsh on Solomona.....it's really more that whenever anyone goes to play in the UK it seems as though they are a loss, even if they go over there and play well, because no-one really cares when they do.

How many australians know there national anthem?

We all know we are young and free with golden sands and wealth something toil our land is gurt by sea. Da da dar da da dar dar da etc.

Hopefully knowing the whole anthem isnt a requirement for national team selection because i reckon we might have missed out on a few half decent players over the years.
