I pay $35 per year in membership and get bugger all out of it as I live away from Newcastle, can't attend members nights as they are during the week, aren't able to attend all the games so I don't take advantage of early entry and the like. But I give the $35 each year because it is my way of supporting my team.
So your main gripe now is that non-members who bought season tickets now get membership for free?
Ross - quick question. If a member can't attend the proposed members day early in the new year where they get the membership pack, will the packs be mailed out?
Alex I think you are pretty right there and I know what you mean about the membership for $35. I live on the Central Coast and work in Sydney so I do not go to any of the member functions for the exact same reasons as you. On top of that I do miss nearly all Friday night games as by the time I get back to the Coast it is nearly 7PM and does not leave time to get to EAS in 30 mins. I have also had to miss a few games on other days due to commitments and similar travel time issues.
But it just concerns me that the Knights marketing group have either not noticed this snub of loyal fans or have deliberately flown in the face of it just making the assumption that we as passionate and loyal fans will cough up again without question. I am really hoping that it is the former even though this raises some concerns about experience and marketing ability, it is still better then a blatant snub of the Knights loyal fan base.
I really am just trying to have my best interests and the clubs raised here I am not looking to harm them in any way.
