According to todays paper (Toohey) the Knights are about to sign a 20 yo halfback from Wellington who played for the All Blacks in the jnr World Cup. He is supposed to have a league background and be very promising.

i know there is a salary cap exemption for signing Union players, but i thought it was only for aussie players.

Now we seem to have too many halves, Johns, Kidley, Witt and now this young fella, where will we fit them in

The Broncos are after a young union player who has played for All Blacks in the jnr World Cup.

It is probably the same player.

This was in the QLD paper about 1 week ago.

The more I see of Michael Monaghan, the more I think we went after the first option past our plate. I guess it's too late to dwell on it now.
