Dude, we have Clinton Schifcofske, Jason Smith, Simon Woolford, Ryan O'Hara, Craig Frawley, Adam Mogg, Michael Hodgson and Michael Weyman out (plus others, but those would be certainties in our line-up each week), any team is going to struggle with that amount of players out. Newcastle are the same, I feel for them. This game was always going to be one of very low quality.

Kiwi... your a knob. How do you expect any team to do well with most of their major playmakers out? Schifcofske, Smith, Woolford?

Lockyer? Priddis and Gower? Orford and Hill?

Was a terrible game. Hardly surprising with two PL outfits out there. Feel sorry for the Knights but the Raiders defence was excellent, especially considering the number of players they have out injured.

ill take the win
defence won it for us today and i think i speak for every raiders fan when i say Welcome back Germ, Mogg and Smithy :clap:
Our attack will significantly be helped by those three
just happy to get away with this one

A gutsy win by the Raiders.

I have serious doubts about Newcastle's ability to win a game this year. And I can't believe that Steve and Michael Witt are related. :shock:

Well done to Canberra, any side that pulls off a win with so many regular first graders out deserves respect.

I'm sure coach Hagan and the Knights fans will still be remaining upbeat. Hagan will be telling everybody he was satisfied with the effort (as he has been for entire 05 season) and the diehard fans will be looking for positives like So-and-so made a good hit up and like we got within 4 etc.

Schifcofske = great player
Smith = good player
Woolford = average, good leadership though and can play 80 minutes
O'Hara = decent first grade prop, nothing more
Frawley = pretty good
Mogg = average
Hodgson = average
Weyman = average

Even with your players back, the best you'll do is scrape into the 8, followed by an absolute flogging at the hands of the Broncs or Cowboys.

That really was a poor game but with the score line as it was the continued pressure by the knights it made it edge of the seat stuff for raiders and knights fans

defence for canberra was very good

Yea the knights didnt throw much at us, reminded me alot of the manly - raiders game

manly defence was good but we didnt throw anything worth while at them, newcastle were abit more potent that us that day but our defence had the answers

You're calling Weyman average and Frawley pretty good? Obviously NFI about the raiders, especially if both fit Weyman has shown his currently and potentially better than O'Hara.

Frawley stinks. The pundits and armchair critics aren't touching on it a great deal, but when talking about the raiders buys, they called Adamson and Smith 'duds', and Frawley a strong coup. They were dead wrong.

if (and its a huge if) he stays fit he'll play for australia, he just needs to stay on the feild, he has had shocking luck

Why is it I move away as soon as Newcastle struggle? i can tell you that if I was still back at home on the central Coast I'd be at the games and I'd be the only Knights fan not acting like everything is rosy, going "Good effort boys, go and have a nice hot shower, we only lost by 4 points, that's good enough..." :clap: :roll: When Parramatta hit a slump last year, their fans were very vocal in the fact that they wouldn't stand for it anymore, and the team responded. If you're just going to smile and pretend everything is peachy when you're still winless and a better guaranteed 2 points than the bye, you're as pissweak as the team you follow. :evil:

OK you got me there, Weyman was a stab in the dark, i know nothing about the man. Still, i don't think you guys have the talent to make the top 6. No offence to the team, but i see them as a well-drilled mid-table side, who may cause a few upsets along the way but wont challenge for the premiership.

You should know weyman, he carved ya's up a year back ;-)
fair enough call, i think we can make the 8, top 6 if we can get the boys back with no more injuries in the year, top 4 if we get really REALLY lucky

I do think we'll have enough in us to make the 8
