Think of all the players out there today, Twal and King would be most likely to play NRL ahead of others. Tuha is probably behind those 2, but did extremely well today. Neilson is also around the mark

Pauli Pauli , what more can be said, all the commentators can say is how big he is, he needs to dominate the game, always remember what BA said to him at the Nines when the game finished . Keep yourself fit !!

I reckon if Faraimo is considered one of the next cabs off the rank, Tuha offers at least as much if not more. He might not ever be a top class first grader but he's worth a go if we need a back up IMO.

Twal is a beast, I can't say enough good things about him. For a kid who's just turned 20, the motor he has and the attitude he brings to the game are just outstanding.

Tuha is the kind of player who excels against poor defence. In first grade there are far fewer opportunities to look like a mad merkin so the fancy footwork is less important than the heavy carries Bureta Faraimo brings.

I agree about Twal though. He is relentless.

They're a very good reserve grade side though

Did his job, it's a big step up even to Wenty from the Perth comp and yawnion. Probably needs time to adjust, didn't do anything wrong

He's probably the one I most like on the rookie show. Hope he does well

Tuha as always was good on his feet, his problem is he can have poor ball security and can be a liability in defence, but he had a good attacking game yesterday.
Schulte was once again solid on the right wing.
Butler-Fleming had some nice touches.
King reverted back to dummy half for this game and was very good. Played a smart game, kicking game was once again very strong and his defence is improving every game, was very good for us. I hope he gets a shot at NRL level this year to see what he can do. We need his creativity in the middle.
Twal was a worker for us again as was Nelson.
If they continue to improve players like Tuha, Schulte and Twal could come into NRL contention next year.
King I think is ready to step up now.
Pauli for Newcastle was strong. A lot of work in defence and some terrific runs.

No he seems to only ever show up in reserve grade

From guys I seen Tanginoa was the standout and that was when gower-alvaro-Rory played in the same team.

Shame he was injured as he would of tasted first grade this year for sure.

How good do you expect your second tier players to be? Even backups in the top 25 (players 18-25) aren't going to be that good - if they were good enough for the top 17 they would end up at another club.

I always think wenty team should be full of guys who can fill in first grade like Hasson - Gower - Terepo - Nelson -tanginoa if need to and guys graduating thru the ranks - Twal - Amone - Woods. Once they get to a stage where you can not see them playing first grade I would let them go. But yes of course you can not fill the whole squad like this and to be fair most our wenty team set up is how I explained now. Such a better set up now then 2-3 years ago when it was full of plodders.
