Honestly throwing in Dargan at hooker would be the worst thing we could do for the kid IMO. Playing hooker doesn't allow him to play to very many of his strengths and also makes him a huge target defensively. He'd be well out of his depth

Far better with Robson (if we don't go for King) as he is at least up to the defensive workload.

Folau moved permanently to the backrow now ? How is his workrate as a backrower ?

Probably the worst part of his game. Luckily he's out wide, and there are other edge forward options on the bench. He won't need to play 80 minutes. Probably.

He's doing very well. He's dropped weight and looks similar to what he did when he first played in the 20's. Idk how many second-rowers we can carry in the top 30 next year but I hope we keep him on, his form warrants it.

Yep i agree with OA, he played the full game on Saturday in the back row and I thought he did quite well... he's been bending the line all year which is a real good sign.

So if you merkins had to pick 1 of those forwards in the wenty squad named above to take Scott's spot for the game V the dogs who would it be and why?

Personally I would take a chance and promote Niukore and play Tep off the bench in Beau's place. But I don't think BA will go down that path, think he'll play it safe with someone with NRL experience while we are walking the finals tightrope... But looking at that side again, not many have NRL experience (I'm not including Vave in considerations)... Wouldn't surprise to see Gower rushed back...

OR...... COULD IT BE.....

THE GREAT TANIELA!!!! LOL

If Gower is available than it'll be him...a bloke who can slot in at either edge or middle in a pinch.

I think they'd go for Gower, but I agree I'd like to see Niukore given a go.

Maybe, but that's how a lot of young halves are eased into the NRL

Not really. Some are eased in off the bench behind a genuine hooker and thrown in for 15 minute stints where they are told to basically just cut loose and get into acting half occasionally....it's a bit different putting him on the bench to take over from another makeshift hooker....

Vave's just having a run for match fitness surely? I'd expect he'll be in the Eels 17 next round. Looks like King will be too.

Anynews on re-signs for some of the lesser playes like Falou-Niakuore etc?

They've got married and had a kid? Quck work from the lads.

You'd think Niukore would be cheap enough to re-sign if we want him. Someone like Newcastle might decide to offer overs for Folau. See how he goes with an extended run in the pack.
