Wenty lost but Stefano scored a try. Stats should be up in a few hours.

I hope this kid makes it with Kafusi.

A pack in 2020 of this looks great.

Salmon is ment to be a centre so goes back to Wenty and is named at 5/8.....

Well he's not "meant to be a centre"...he just trained there pre season

He's a ball runner who's spent most of his junior career on an edge. Played a fair bit of back row IIRC. But at that age he also played a lot of six because that's where you put your best player a lot of the time so they get more ball.

Seems likely that until we know what's happening with Dylan Brown hes going to be needed more in the halves than the centres, so best to get him playing there.

Let's face it he isnt a long term 6 and Smith is now in front of him in the pecking order..

Why not play him at centre and at least have him learning that position as he trained there in off season.

It is possible that he isn't actually behind Smith in the long-term pecking order, however he is less experienced than Smith and therefore BA might just want him to get more experience in the 6 jersey at Wenty while he (BA) uses our more experienced 5/8 in FG in the meantime.

Keep in mind that Jaemon trained in the centres in the off-season and started the season suspended. Smith was on the bench for Round 1 and broke his arm and Jaemon was his immediate replacement for rounds 2 and 3 (on the bench). Hard to force his way into Taka's centre spot when the side was winning and then before he could, we lost round 3 and lost Drown.

Smith has now returned from injury and as the 2nd most experienced number 6 available in the top 30, has been picked in that position. We have lost 5 of our last 10 games and I would think that unless Salmon was blitzing it in FG (and he has been solid, but not much more) then the smart move is to pick the more experienced Smith at the moment.

Sure he could have been moved to the centres, but Jennings is only out for 2 weeks and centre is Hoffman's best position.

Salmon was solid, but surely we need our 6 to offer something more than a “give it to Lane” game plan. At least Smith is capable of playing a bit of eyes up footy if he sees half a chance to poke his nose through the line.

No doubt Smith had a reasonable defensive game last week but was he better in attack than Salmon? I think not but there is probably a reason for that. Possibly hes been restricted in "A" given his known brain explosions.
Smiths usual form is to have a couple of good games then ouch. Id prefer Salmon.
Who knows. The big Switcharoo may yet happen.

Our hero Davey has been getting a lot of raps on FB Eels forum pages. Has anyone seen him and how has he been going ?

Supposedly making good metres and tackle counts

He's behind Taka who hasnt played in the forwards for 2 years so I dont like his chances. While Taka can draw breath BA will pick him.
