Knock-on Effect NSW Cup - Eels Team

Question.
Parra has a top 30. At best that leaves 13 players for NSW cup. Most likely you will always have 2 - 5 guys out across the first grade and New cup side.
That means most weeks you would need to call up 6 - 11 players. Where do these guys come from?

After you run out of the 13 top 30 players who weren't picked for the NRL that week you have the 6 (or less) development players, as well as the dozen-ish part-timers in the 'reserve grade' squad. If you can't cobble together a match day 17 for the Canterbury Cup team out of them you use Jersey Flegg players.

The Eels take on South Sydney at Wentworthville on Friday and they could give their star recruits game time.

Reagan Campbell-Gillard will pull on the Eels jersey for this first time, named in the squad.

Daniel Alvaro, Nathan Brown, Kane Evans, Michael Jennings, Reed Mahoney, Ethan Parry and Peni Terepo will get some valuable game time this week after not featuring in the Eels Nines campaign.

Please note that this trial will be streamed live on parraeels.com.au, including guest commentary from Adam Hawse and Tony Salerno. Blue & Gold Members and fans who have an NRL Account will have free access to the stream via the website or Eels app or keep up to date with live updates via the Eels Facebook / Twitter and Instagram accounts.
