Kobe would have three less if he hadn't played with Shaq in his Laker years. Those are Shaq's rings, not Kobe's.

That 2001 series against the Sixers Kobe was ordinary and it was Shaq who carried the team. You take Shaq off that team and Iverson gets finals MVP and tears the Lakers apart with little to no resistance.

Kobe's a good player but he's a grade a douchebag who did sweet FA in game seven this year. He showed exactly why he isn't fit to be mentioned in the same sentence as Jordan.

Jordan's CV is no doubt better.

Kobe's resume holds up pretty nicely in a historical context. There was a time when I cared about the whole Kobe vs Magic or Kobe vs Jordan.

All I know is that Kobe is going to retire as one of the greats of the game, and thats pretty nice. Something that Lebron can aim for.

I reckon Kobe has to win another 3 championships to warrant a serious debate around who achieved more out of him and Jordan.

He'll should never be considered in Jordan's league as a player IMO.
