The side has gone backwards since he has been in charge.
Yeah but he's one of the boys and I think we all know that's what's most important. Success can wait.

He aint no threat to Mary, if you're a threat you are gone by end of the season...Yeah but he's one of the boys and I think we all know that's what's most important. Success can wait.
I was horrified when the souths forwards out pace Ravalawa in a kick through last week, so surely Pearson gets the nod. If Mary wants a kick returner & not someone who can score a try from inside our own half than Aitken would be just as potent, you could than put Lomax at centre so he can take the conversions. Both our winger were good and Robson solid.
But no one pushing for nrl

Question: Do you think Latimore does enough to warrant his continual selection? especially as he seems to be carrying a knee injury with it heavily strapped.
Pearson showed some genuine pace with 90 metre intercept try.
Tendon strain.
Was put thru full fittnes run today with Loamx Dufty and Friz. I think frizz will be named in the squad this week.
Luc played big minutes in the middle too, wouldn't be surprised if Lats misses out this week.

As long as Mary is aware. He's an exciting prospect at 9 who can 13. Looked dangerous at times in goodball and was solid in D.
It is not so much backwards. We have had a reasonably talented side that like last year was knocking on the door. But they lack that hard ruthless edge in tight ones as in the Dragons prior to Wayne Bennett and in part the Dragons of recent years. They lose games they should'nt against weaker opposition and whilst they have pulled some wins out of their ying yang they make too many errors in tight ones and their defence over the years has been soft at times and have been run down from big leads. The side has gone backwards since he has been in charge.
How did that Robinson person play!
CC
Wasn't a standout, missed a few tackles and when he made a half break from dummy half with 2 speed men backing up he failed to pass or even look, they were right there either side of him and in the clear.
He also looked small out there against those big Penrith forwards. He's well behind McIness you'd think.
The defence was pretty much what you'd expect in reserves but both Runciman and Ford were really solid for us as well as both making good metres, 120 and 146 respectively. I was surprised to see Runciman in the second row but he handled it well. Ford will push his way into firsts no problem, if not this year then next, he's got the makings of a great back rower.
Clune played really well, very dangerous, big heart but he's tiny. Field went OK but seemed to be carrying a leg / foot injury. Clune took the shots at goal and only nailed 2 / 5, if Lomax plays he nails most of them and we win. We also win if the refs weren't useless, they pulled up a beautiful close range try for a forward pass that wasn't - I'm not biased, Brett Kenny also called it TRY. Just on Kenny, love the guy, so great to hear him in the commentary box.
Luciano went OK but I think he's being misused and abused. Give him long minutes in firsts and he'll be a weapon. That's unlikely with Host firing so maybe give him some time in reserves in the front row but off the bench, see how he goes.
Timm made good metres and can hit hard but misses a few tackle at crucial moments.
Sokobalavu is a big boy, could be another Ah Mau, keep an eye on this one.
Of the backs Pearson stands out a mile, 197 metres, nice quick play the balls and some impressive footwork but needs to cut out the errors and work on his defence - he's almost there though, if Ravi fails I'd give him a run. Marsters also has great footwork and both he and Esau have speed - both coming along nicely. Sailor needs to grow, he's too small for 1sts.

When making a judgement on Robson's suitability for inclusion/consideration in a hooker rotation role, we also need to take into consideration his phycology right now. Through his entire junior career at the Dragons, he has achieved every success and lauded by all for his achievements. Not that it is time for him to take the next logical step he is being ignored by the first grade coaching staff while at the same time being offered lucrative contracts by other clubs.
I say Mary should at least give him a go and justify is selection decisions on criteria much more important than loyalty of self preference.
Agree with most of what you said.
I thought the refs were very average.
Clune didn't take the shots for goal - it was Field. Personally, I thought Luc was average. He needs to find some mongrel - looks too afraid of getting hurt.
Ford is one to watch as you say. He's getting there. He's 21 years old and 95kg. He'll probably add a bit of weight to that frame.
These kids in Reserves need patiience, if not then see you later.
Cam McIness has been arguably our best player so far this year and could even be handed the Captaincy in Widdop's absence as early as next week. I'd also argue that he's still in contention for a Blue jersey.
He's not perfect, I'd personally like to see him engage the line more from dummy half before he passes the way C. Smith and Farrar do but he's young and like every other footballer has a lot to learn. Fact is though he's up there with the best and there's absolutely no reason bring in another Hooker at this stage and mess things up in our spine even more than they already are. The last thing I want to see is Saints go back to old days of rotating hookers, it's a waste of space on the bench and unnecessarily disruptive for minimum benefit.
