JF & KOE were looking so promising making a charge for the finals.. but both have just fallen off the cliff..

Hard to know why without any coverage lately, Turner @6 returned for those last 3 losses.. but I doubt thats a huge part of it.. he was also there @1 for our big win over the jets.. either way.. real shame to miss finals, we could have dropped a few boys back and had a crack at it..

Just goes to show that we have poor depth overall and not so astute coaching in all grades.

We know that the club is being run successfully when basically all grades are in line for finals footy.

We are currently in the depths of despair.:(

I'm sure that Flanno will have a major plan for pathways, that was his major focus at Sharks and got all grades there to finals etc. Any astute coach would realise that you need depth across all grades and constantly having players pushing the NRL players for a spot in the team. Our NRL players for too long have felt invincible to at least give up their positions to someone else in lower grade. Also our quality of players in lower grades has fallen off a cliff, so a complete revamp is needed. I'm thinking Flanno has already started with the appointment of new staff in performance and fitness and also getting Piggy Riddell to come on board, at least he can start mentoring our young 9's, it is a specialist position.

Take a squizz at one of our juniors, Corey Ackers who hits more like a sledgehammer, et al Jack de Belin. The kid is built low to the ground, a pocket battleship, a Mallee bull. Been following his progress thru the junior reps. Plays Flegg full time next season, may even crack Ressies too. Imho Ackers is heir apparent to our Jack.
If Ackers can rise to be a good NRL lock, then De Belin can move to prop and help solve one of the biggest problems in our NRL squad.
