Google "Grand Final / Warriors v Dragons NSW 2025 Highlights" on YouTube and there's now a match report from today's KOE GF game.

I was at the match- Ilias showed once again why he isnt a 1st grade half back. Lots of hospital passes to the poor guys outside him and getting sinbinned with a stupid error while we were still very much in it. Also saw poor Glover after the match- he was absolutely gutted about loosing and also about leaving the Dragons. We tried hard but loosing players during the match and some pretty poor refereeing decisions sure didnt help. However wasnt Tyler Peckham- Harris a revelation. A few mistakes but wow is he fast and is a tackling demon. Blocker vs BMM- no contest. And running Blocker on every 5th tackle didnt seem to be a very smart choice. All up they did well but were just outclassed
On another note i couldnt believe how much the ladies game has advanced. The game before was incredibly talented and great to watch. They really did put their hearts and souls into it and it was only sad Cronulla won- lol
Anyway a great day of football watching 3 grades go around

As a club we still don't get it, look at the Warriors jersey has the embroided /sublimation printing details of the GF front and centre on their jersey, why didnt we, simple things, didn't anyone think about doing that, did it occur to anyone, i know i'm nit picking but its annoying.
The reason the dragons didn’t add any more print to their jerseys was because they were worried about getting the spelling wrong….again…

surely he must have. I watched from about 20th minute and cant remember seeing him on field. Injuries really killed us this year, also no Sione Finau and no Finau Latu in addition to all the others.
Yep.
Sele went off around the 15 minute mark, and did not return.
Ilias sin binned, and already missing half our pack due to injuries, all up it was a fairly brave effort to compete with the Warriors for such a long period of the game.
In summary, our KOE Cup team has done the big Red V proud in 2025.
Special mention to coach Willie Talau and inspirational fullback Cody Ramsey.

Elias was very average, big difference compared to the input Tanah Boyd provided.
The 10 min when we were down a man we had only one set with the ball and conceded too many points.
Losing the dummy half on top of injures didn't help.
They definitely competed, I think their line speed and kick chase looked better than our NRL side.
Feagai maybe used on the wing to return the ball however in attack didn't see much ball, think he's better at left centre.

Well done to the boys for making the GF. Great achievement and hope they can continue next season with another GF under their belts this time a winning one. They sure look like they are capable if they stick together. It's a pity some key players were unable to make the GF due to injury as I am sure they would have made a difference.

Was hoping he may have turned the corner after playing 5 games straight to close out the NRL season.. plus 1 NSWRL game... I dunno if these sort tissue injuries are resolvable.. Im sure we would replace him if we could but 1st grade props arent falling off trees.. will a full preseason/rehab help? Problem is he cant run and get fit if he cant use his legs.

I was also at the game with my two sons- $5 (concession) ticket good value.
A couple of quick takes some of which have already been touched on.

1. The crowd imo was disappointingly small- but even though support for both teams was about equal, the Warriors with their drums and chants managed to make it sound like Auckland and a Warriors home game.

A suggestion to our CEO-Dragons supporters tend to be comparatively quiet and one of our squillionaire owners/ sponsors (Bruce or Twiggy) should be approached to fund and set up a permanent cheer squad- just like in the AFL. It wouldn't cost much but would lift the morale of the team no end.

2. If Anasta wants a reason why Ilias isn't playing NRL, contrast his charge's performance against that of Tanah Boyd- Ilias kicking game is limited and predictable (bombs away!) -while Boyd spotted and executed a superb 40/20 and then rolled a grubber into the in goal that the Warriors scored off.

3. With all the eligible players that we had injured and out-plus Latu and Finau gone to other teams- it was always going to be a struggle and Willy Talau should be commended for getting us as far as he did with inexperienced junior players. We had two tries disallowed with no video available to replay the first of those. We led 6-4 for a long period and (imo) the introduction of poor old BMM coincided with the Warriors cracking our defences twice within a few minutes for a commanding 16-6 lead.

4. The Warriors wingers were superior in the air to Feagai and young Jesse Williams so I'm happy that the two new outside backs who we are targeting are on the taller side. Buchanan was dangerous in attack and he and the jockey sized Peckham-Harris were courageous against much bigger opponents.

5. Cody had a quiet game by his standards and it seemed to me that the Warriors had done their homework on him. He never received the ball with any room to move.

Overall, we should be proud of what the team achieved and hopefully the experience will benefit younger players for future seasons.

Three-club race heats up for Rabbitohs young gun

Three clubs are set to enter a bidding war for electric five-eighth Nicholas Quinn, with the young star attracting a stack of interest as teams begin to seek long-term halves prospects.

After captaining the Rabbitohs' Jersey Flegg squad and making his NSW Cup debut in 2025, Quinn looks to be the real deal and a true NRL running five-eighth.

Zero Tackle understands that Quinn has been tabled three separate offers.
The Rabbitohs are keen to retain him, despite a logjam in the halves with Cody Walker, Jamie Humphries, Jayden Sullivan, Ashton Ward, and Jonah Glover all in the running for a playmaking spot.

His former club, the St George Illawarra Dragons, is also keen on his services, hoping to bring him back to where it all started.
The Dragons' long-term halves are far from decided, and could feature Quinn should he decide to re-join the club.

Lol, Quinn was dropped for LKT when LKt was 17-18. Why would we want him back? He was worse than the players we have now. Drop him back into the same system and it’s a backward step

He is 187cm tall Quinn (reportedly online)

Can play halves, centres and FB

He is also a goal kicking half

He ended up playing 8 games in NSW Cup

Some taller lean built halves catch up a little later in juniors development vs the nuggety junior halves
