One to keep an eye on in Matt's for the Dragons is young Rokko Walker. We have signed him from NZ for 4 years.

He was a 5/8 (half back) in the starting XV at the Auckland Grammar school (they have produced the most All Blacks of any school) at only 15 years of age.

Real prodigy. Could play 5/8 or fullback in league. He is already 6'2" at 16. Will do pre-season with the first grade squad this year.

He said nsw cup and could play nrl if needed. Also said he needs to develop physically but has all the skills & technical ability of a halfback. He was positive about him. All fair and valid comments imo. We don't need to burn him out.

Gold Coast sign Dragons forward on two-year contract​

The Gold Coast Titans have recruited a young forward from the St George Illawarra Dragons, handing him his maiden Top 30 contract.

Kade Reed

After getting his first taste of pre-season football last season, Kade Reed will enter this year’s pre-season after a strong campaign in various junior representative competitions at the Under-19s and Under-21s level, as well as making his NSW Cup debut.

A talented halfback, the youngster has been earmarked as a key piece of the Dragons’ future and also as their answer to the halves woes - an area that they have continually struggled to get right despite using multiple players in the position and various combinations.

The Patrician Brothers’ Blacktown graduate possesses all the ability of a future NRL star which includes great agility, speed, basic skills, footy intelligence and a strong kicking ability.
