the first line has me questioning its validity...

Good move by Korbin, as I doubt he would be seeing any first grade next year, barring injury or suspensions.

Apparently a 2 or 3 yr deal with Hull and good on him for doing it.

This, IMO, will free up Tariq . I think he's been a little under performing especially this year.

Rumour is we are till in talks with a few players and I guess those discussions will escalate once we know the DeBelin result.

St George Illawarra and star forward Korbin Sims have split.

Sims played the past two seasons at St George Illawarra but injuries have hampered his form and progress. He played 21 games in two seasons.

Despite having enjoyed his two-year stint at St George Illawarra, Sims was keen to accept the Hull KR deal and settle his long-term future.

Had Sims remained at Saints next year, it was unlikely the club would have re-signed him beyond 2021.

And am I happy with that. been a disappointing signing and 2 years although i thought he could of added something before he came.

St George Illawarra have released Korbin Sims from the remainder of his Dragons playing contract to allow him to take up an opportunity in the English Super League.

Sims played 21 games for the Dragons over the past two seasons.

Three spots still remain in the Dragons' Top 30 roster however, following the re-signing of front-rower Kaide Ellis on a one-year deal.

Ellis joined the Dragons midway through the 2020 NRL Telstra Premiership season and played eight games for the Red V.

"I'd like to thank Korbin for his contribution at the Red V and wish him all the best in his future endeavours," General manager of football Ben Haran said.

"Kaide arrived at the Dragons in recent months with high credentials and he certainly proved a positive addition to our team in the back end of last season.

"The player market moves fast in rugby league and a lot of things can happen in a short amount of time.

"With three spots remaining on our roster, we'll be working diligently over the coming months to ensure the players who do come to the Dragons are the right fit for our club."

Ellis's re-signing follows the signing of Jack Bird and Poasa Faamausili as well as the further retention of Mat and Max Feagai, Josh Kerr, Jackson Ford, Mikaele Ravalawa, Adam Clune, Junior Amone and Tyrell Sloan ahead of the Dragons' 2021 campaign.

Disappointing end to Sims’ NRL career..

Was touted as the best of the 3 brothers but never realised the potential..

Hope that Tariq brings back beast mode next year.. He’s awesome to watch when he’s a wrecking ball..

Pretty smart move by Hook, Korbin never reached his potential so time to cut our losses & move on.

Yes I remember the hype about Korbin when he was coming through at least he got a couple seasons in the Red V.

I think Ellis showed enough to deserve another 12mths I’d expect him to be a regular in the 17.
