given the strength of the eels in the halves what are the chances of kk getting a run this year?

even though i'm a tigers supporter he is definetly a player i enjoy watching and beleive he has plenty of room for improvement, depending on what they do with mateo will hold the key to my question.

if he can't get a run in the halves i think he deserves a shot at the 9 jersey ahead of his brother.

im sure he will get some sort of a shot during the year but matt his brother is now an established number 9 if anything kris will be interchange hooker/half

of all the juniors we've lost over recent times, this is the one that will REALLY tick me off the most if we lose him.

I doubt Robson will start much of the year....
My tip: KK will start from Round 4

I can see KK becoming apart of our leadership group eventually. Captain material, but id rather Timmy Mannah first. Ability wise I think we over rate him and Mortimer a fair bit, but I judge players the same way Jack did. I simply as myself "can I win with him". I pretty confident that we could win with KK at half or 5/8. Very explosive for his size. The lack of experience in our halves and hookers worries me heaps though so I really hope Robson fires.

KK will be in the 17 each week unless injured. And I suspect Ando will choose horses for courses and rotate the starting two halves positions among the trio as well.

I can see the #14 playing a decent amount of minutes (50-60) as well, as the bench rotation could leave us finishing a game with three halves on the field (at the expense of a tired forward), given that all three playmakers (Robson especially) have quality defense.

I reckon he's better with the ball in hand. But from dummy half, he can't do what he does best

the good thing is we have 2 players in KK and Robson that can play 7 and also fill in at 9....Robson for his defence and KK for his speed. so having those 2 both on the field when other teams r getting tired will be a big thing for us this year and this will take peoples minds off morts coz they will have 2 other players to worry about. i feel robbo has more to develop and we havnt seen KK at full ability in first grade this year i rekon he will surprise people and be a handy utility off the bench....much like PJ marsh when he started out with us

For mine KK needs to find a money ball before he can take the job off Robbo. Whilst he may be half a yard faster than Robbo, Robba can nail the big gorillas easliy and left us with no real chinks in our defensive amour last year.

Kk will play a role that's a sure thing. The problem for me is I think both him and morts are natural 5/8s. Neither have the traditional half backs game both have strong running games. Of the two kk is more likely to grow into the role. And with robbo still around we
have a solid back up.

tbh i think Kris is a great defender in his own right. Robson deserves first crack at the no. 7 but i think long term DA would want a Mortimer/Keating combo.

I like the idea of KK at 7 in principal but does he have the passing game and organisational skills. He has played most of his juniors at 6?

Mortimer is a 5/8 and I think KK may be the same. At least with Robson we have a steadying hand on the field, I think a lot of people are discounting the influence that Robson had on the team last year.

If KK is up to it I think long term he is going to be our halfback.

KK is a great competitor and a real tough kid...
a winner...
but he is a 6 not a 7.. has a great running game and good D.
It is a lack of a great passing game that has me worried about our halves

My understanding is Robson re-signed for very little money. No reason why we can't keep all three until we figure out how all the pieces of the puzzle fit together.

Also don't forget about Humble.

he'll be paying it off with 'respect" that's how you earn it at this club Pete..;-)

That is good to hear...I thought STERLO actually must have owned it. Are you putting KK in the same class as Peter Sterling;
Hope he doesn't meet the same fate as the bloke who was asked by Andrew Johns "So you're the next Sterlo".

You've got some big wraps on him Stagger....
