Wrong, Fitzgibbon actually wanted to come here. Believe ciraldo did too - just didn’t line it up

yeah Fitzgibbon was still contracted to the roosters and didn't want to break his contract from memory.
Ciraldo was keen on us as he saw the potential with the big junior nursery and a club that he could get some success at,but again not sure what the issues where without it going any further, possibly Gould got into his ear, who knows, but we are the "Nearly" club..

Fitzgibbon was the one I wanted. And yes from memory it was a contract issue with the roosters. Either he didn’t want to break it or they were threatening legal action, who knows really. I think that’s why the board gave Hook an extra year to give them more time to find a successor. Could be wrong my memory is rubbish these days.

Thinking a bit more about this and it’s an excellent idea. He has runs on the board , let’s do it ASAP.

Young and Stanley played together and would be a great combination again as coach and recruitment officer.
