I know a lot of people are down on Atkinson, but i watched him play last year as 5/8 for Cronulla when Hines and Trindall didnt play and he was brilliant. He controlled them all round the park, and played and kicked beautifully so i know he can do it. But its up to the 1/2 to run this and sadly Kyle aint no half. Im really hoping thats Flannos lack of squad change will be his downfall because LPT played well despite Flanno saying we had no better players. And still picking Holmes? You’re kidding

My theory is when Val first signed on Flanno told him he could do part of his training at Kogarah. But Watsford has insisted on doing everything at Wollongong. So now he doesn't give a toss.

Was a huge opportunity to play Reed for 30mins tonight, 8pts behind.. Kyle into hooker.. but I knew in my heart it wasnt happening.. its now how Flanno Snr thinks.. he genuinely sees his standard squad as the best combination possible each weekend.. and tbf he has 0 interest in our medium or longterm success.. i do get that.

Rev, like you and "everybody" else, I also wanted Reed to get on the field.
But how does it "work"?

Was Reed in the 17 at game time, or was he 18, or 19?

And if he was 18 and 19, when can they get on the field?

Lawrie, Flanagan, Guler, and Kerr are a minimum to go. They wont though. Next week we will see the same again. I would include Holmes in this but who else can kick?

Lost all interest in this debacle. How anyone can say it was a good contest is beyond me. Maybe for 10 minutes, but from memory the game goes for eighty minutes.

He is probably disillusioned with a whole bunch of things such as:

- Never getting any early ball from our halves

- His old has been coach from Cronulla giving him spray after spray but not holding his son accountable

He has definitely clocked out and happy to watch opposition blokes run in for tries.

It is a crap attitude for him to have, however he realises he is getting paid and stays at the club no matter what, unlike Flanagan.
I think with a change of coach and using him better, he will be more like his old self.

It's a 6 man bench now. Anyone from 14 to 19 can be used within the set number of interchanges.

I'd sack Holmes. Young Flanno will always be picked so he may as well kick the goals. If he's not, Atkinson can kick goals. Gutho can kick goals when and if he's in the side. I believe Kade Reed has goal kicking duties for the KOE side. There are options.
