Just watching the game again, Miller's kickoffs seem very short compared to other teams. Ponga to take kickoffs when he gets back? I think we can get our kickoffs at least 10 metres deeper.
I’ve also thought the same.

This is where it would have been nice to have signed Kyle Feldt or Reuben Garrick when we were after them. Great kickoffs and goal kicking.

We need it badly.

On the Dally M points, I’m amazed Miller is 8th or 9th overall, on 16 points. He’s been playing well but all out games have been team efforts and I would’ve thought the points were a bit more spread out.
Also, why is there only 11 points given from our game? It’s 12 per game yeah?

Knights v Panthers: 4 - Nathan Cleary, 3 - Lachlan Miller, 3 - Dylan Edwards, 2 - Greg Marzhew

There's 12 points.

Miller's had some errors but he's had some big contributions, especially with work rate. Plus he's probably playing above expectation in many ways, therefore easy to hand him points. Just not sure about this game against the Panthers.

I saw it earlier and swear somewhere had Marzhew on 1 point. That makes more sense.

The media already has a hard-on for him and will default to giving him votes, as they often do because it's a terrible voting system. Got points in the previous 2 games as well which I'd argue weren't deserved.

He could legitimately go close to winning it if the Knights stay at least competitive throughout the season though Ponga will take his share of points too if he stays healthy.

I feel like when they caste votes they look at the good things a player does and tend to not pay as much attention to the errors.

As a neutral, I love watching this bloke play. He is by far the best option the Knights have in that position...and that includes Kalyn Ponga. Give the man some patience and give him the season to work it out.

He’s playing with energy of a player who has only played half a season in total. When he is doing this at the end of next season I will be completely convinced. He’s been great for the team style of play at present.

Can Gamble play fullback?
He has I'm pretty sure, but he won't be offering any better than Miller.

Miller still looks like a danger and threat with the ball. I'd like to think he can iron things out but he needs to show he can eliminate the crap.

It's his first season of first grade too. I bet he'll come back from the BYE really strongly.

It’s definitely concerning the amount of errors we’re starting to see. Still love the bloke’s energy but the coaching staff are going to need to have a serious think about whether his good outweighs the bad. Very happy to keep persevering with him this year, he’s still very raw…but Will Pryce might put pressure on him next year if he doesn’t improve the errors.

Doesn’t help that he’s, in my opinion, become overhyped by the media. I get that he’s great to watch but it’s hard when he’s on your team and costing us with crucial errors.

Honestly his errors set the whole tone tonight and got us flustered to begin with. It's just not good enough.

A few weeks ago we were saying and hoping the errors were just down to inexperience and other factors and would improve, since then it’s gotten worse, way worse. I think we’re going to have to accept that he’s a fullback version of SKD, the errors are just part of his make up

He’s getting worse each week. Do we go back to Ponga at Fullback and Gamble at 6?

I’d be hesitant to move Ponga again.

I’m willing to give Miller more time to work on the errors. Being so raw we did need to expect this…like you said though, the fact that he’s getting worse each week is my concern.

He’s getting a lot of media hype so I hope internally his errors are being acknowledged.
