LADDER AS AT END OF ROUND 9 - TOP 4 TEAMS

Well the top four teams have drawn away from the opposition and the semi final games already decided. But the question is who will be minor premiers..The Roosters look like they will take that honour with no chance of having their for and against record battered as they have gained the forfeit this year.

Newtown would need to pull a houdini to take the title off them.

the top four teams points stand at

Played Won Lost Draw Bye For Against Points Differential
Roosters 9 7 1 1 0 368.3 255.6 15 112.7
Newtown 9 7 1 1 0 353.4 269.1 15 84.3
Penrith 9 5 3 0 1 288.5 211.5 12 77
Souths 9 6 3 0 0 291.7 264.5 12 27.2

Congratulations to Bulldogs who under the astute leadership of Zef has managed to make the final game and have shown a great deal of improvement over the competition - definitely a team to watch for the future..

Any queries on the table please pm me

LOL, thanks Ozzie.

Our goal is to be competitive, and so far we have done that. we have a tough one this week against the most improving souths team.

WE have a rough run home but i'm sure that we can pull a few wins out of there.

The semi's - are we running with the Top 8 format?....... please.

It always takes us Dogs a season to warm up - we don't start taking any of it too seriously until September, never have. And the Eels... well them too.

Zef: this is something I posted in the 'Forum Sevens' thread last month:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Semi-finals
For those teams that feel that other teams now have a head start, we should remember that with plenty of rounds left to run, every team has a chance to make the semi-finals.
A top 4 may seem overly generous... but it should give everyone an even chance coming into the last rounds.

IMO, a generous cut-off point is a fair trade-off for the competition tail-enders... everyone stands a chance to of being there on grand final day.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It will be a standard top 4 play-off from when the RL comp was easier to fathom.
A. Minor semi final (3v4)
B. Major semi final (1v2)
C. Preliminary Final (winner A v loser B)
D. Grand Final (winner B v winner C)

Actually, it was the rleague competition that fell apart... the Sharks have done a great job getting back together here and have won 1 game from two starts.

Broncos 6 3 3 0 0 109.2 105.2 4

should that be 6 points from 3 wins?
and when is the for and against going to be updated?

Ive just read my post and it seems a bit disrespectful. I didnt mean it that way. I understand that people have lives outside the forum 7s. I just thought it was a bit odd that you were on the forum sevens forum, and didnt have enough time to do the table straight away. Were you just on your way out or something?

Don't worry about it EWS... most people have a good idea of where they're sitting. The current table is pretty much up-to-date with perhaps some fine tuning needed.

IMO, the most important areas are:
Having the rounds posted on time and,
having matches marked by the refs asap after fulltime.

Then we have: Points Awards, Publishing on Leagueunlimited.com, ozzie's Stats and Table, The Draw and the Rep Season... all parts of the competition.

Welcome to TFR and the F7s and hope to see you join a team soon... Cheers.

EWS we are in the middle of doing our departments annual report - I take a five minute break sometimes to clear the head and head in here. The table will be finalised and it is only for and against that needs to be updated when i have more than that five minutes. My weekends and my nights t the moment aren't mine. But then again i get paid for that.
